Chapter 1 

“You said you were fine with an open marriage, so I cheated on you. It shouldn’t be a problem, right?” Sandria Far- ley’s husband, Florentino Burnham, asked with a smug smile. 

His shamelessness shattered Sandria’s heart. 

Earlier that day, she had stumbled across a Tik Tok video showing him kissing another woman. They were at a con- cert venue, and the jumbotron happened to zoom in on them kissing. 

Florentino, not noticing her heartbroken expression, even wanted to hug her. “We’ve been facing liquidity issues and need to establish ties with the Schroeder Group. They’ve just expanded into Eaveton. She’s the niece of the family’s head.” 

The Schroeder family? 

Sandria subtly dodged his hand and put away a document she had been holding. “So, you want me to put up with your betrayal?” 

“You said it yourself,” Florentino smirked, lifting her chin. “You were okay with an open marriage.” 

She parted her lips, but no words came out. After a moment of silence, her voice came out hoarse. “Fine. I accept it.” 

His indifferent attitude and cruel words stabbed her heart like a sharp knife. 

Yes, she had once talked about being okay with an open marriage–but it was a joke. During their three years of mar- riage, she had never betrayed him. 

Yet, here he was, using the joke to justify his affair. 

Sandria gave a faint, self–deprecating smile. 

That was when Florentino finally noticed she wasn’t “okay.” He took out a diamond bracelet from his pocket and slipped it into the V–neck of her slim–fit dress. 

“Don’t be upset, hon. You’re the one I love the most. After all, you’re my wife–the only woman who’ll be with me to the end,” he cooed. 

She just smiled, giving no reply. 

“Wanna spice things up tonight?” He pulled out a joint out of nowhere. 

Sandria took it and cracked a bright smile. “Sure. Just a sec.” 

Then she reached for a blindfold nearby, slipped it over his eyes, and used his own belt and necktie to bind his wrists. and ankles to a chair.

Only then did she start to undress him. 

Chuckling, she whispered in his car, “No pecking.” 

Like always, Florentino was powerless against her allure. Even his tanned skin flushed crimson with arousal. 

“Better start praying… It’s gonna be a long night.” 

After finishing the last knot, Sandria stopped smiling. She stepped back, her voice still as charming as ever. 

“Wait for me. I’ll go take a shower.” 

She stepped into the bathroom and turned on the shower.

However, instead of stepping under the water, she discreetly pulled out a suitcase. The water masked her every move- 

ment. 

Florentino had forgotten–she was never the submissive type. 

Soon, she packed up all her belongings, along with every piece of jewelry she could find. 

Without a single glance back at her moaning husband, she walked out the door. 

Once outside the apartment building, she called a lawyer. “Are you free to take on a divorce case? My husband cheat- ed. I’ve got the proof to file for divorce.” 

Hanging up, she went to a pawn shop. 

Under the clerk’s stunned gaze, she pawned all the jewelry and donated every cent. 

She then fumbled for her phone and made a call. 

“Ash, is the apartment you offered me earlier still vacant?” 

“Of course, it is. It’s already equipped with everything. Sandy, have you made up your mind?” Ashlan Schroeder sounded very surprised. 

Sandria pursed her lips, her gaze fixing on the paternity test in her hand. 

“Yeah. I’ll head back once I’ve tied up loose ends in Eaveton.” 

“Alright. If anything happens, call me. I’ll always be there for you, Sandy. No one’s ever going to hurt you again.” 

Sandria ended the call without another word. 

Ashlan was the eldest son of the Schroeder family, the richest in Glottenham. Half a month ago, he had come to her with a paternity test, claiming she was his long–lost younger sister. He had wanted to bring her back to Glottenham to reunite with the rest of the family,
