Chapter 7 

“Don’t dig up too deep. This house was Isabel’s most perfect work. She spent half a year designing it. Don’t ruin it.” She then pulled out the original blueprint, which could be used to locate all the basements in the house. 

Oliver was shocked to discover that I had hidden quite a few things in the house, so he combed through each room. 

The first room was my private design studio. 

Next, he found the modeling room and the room where I stored various materials. 

The last basement was in the farthest corner behind the villa. By the time they reached it, everyone was already exhausted and Anne even said, “Why don’t we have someone continue searching based on the blueprints? Let’s go back.” 

The heat was unbearable. But Oliver pushed open the door. Upon entering, he was greeted by our wedding photo. 

Ever since Anne came back, Oliver had removed all our photos. Although everyone knew the eason, they did not dare to refuse. 

Since I could not stop him either, I could only watch helplessly as his people found various excuses to destroy the photos. Only this one remained and I managed to hide it away, hidden in the last basement. 

He stepped further inside and saw the floor plan of the apartment, with two small figures of me and him beside it. We made them together when we first started dating. 

There were many more… they were all memories between us. 

They were all my drawings. Every smile, every movement Oliver did, even a comic book that captured the tiniest gestures he made. Every detail was a testament to my sincere love for Oliver. 

There was also a photo of us when he proposed to me. 

A sketch of his surprised expression when he found out I was pregnant. 

There was even a photo of the intimate embrace of the two of us lying in bed. 

In Oliver’s eyes, our life had become mundane and one could even say that there was little love left between us, just going through the motions of daily life. 

So, with the reasoning that he wanted some excitement, he found another woman, but he never expected to witness such scenes today. 

Those memories, the ones he had almost forgotten, were still cherished by me. I was still thinking about our past together. 

What he saw as a mundane life was an endless joy in my eyes. Because I loved him and was deeply in love with him, I could capture every tiny detail of his life. 

Looking at these things now, I just felt ashamed of myself … 

Oliver was stunned. 

He had always known that I loved him deeply. In my heart, love held the highest place and I was 

willing to give him my all to show my sincere love. But he had never imagined that I could love him this much. 

Anne finally realized something was off. In panic, she hurriedly reached out to pull Oliver and spoke cautiously, “Don’t overthink this. Isabel definitely set this trap because she’s trying these things to bind you down. Look, who would be so meticulous? Drawing so many paintings by hand herself? In this age of cameras, wouldn’t it be easier to just take a photo of you?” 

Originally, Claire, who had been standing aside, did not want to say anything. After all, seeing all of this had shocked her, too. 

But hearing Anne question me like that, she suddenly strode forward and shoved Oliver aside so abruptly that he stumbled. He was about to lose his temper when he saw her pull out an album

‘Isabel has a habit of capturing the best moments and then painting them. What you see here is ust a part of it.” 

Oliver’s fingers trembled. He knew this wasn’t something that could be done overnight and each painting had a date stamped on it, all within a few days of the events occurring.
