toÂ
Neighing and lifting its front two legs, he roars and Xavier tightly clutched the cantle to stop himself from falling. He barely escaped falling.Â
”Â
Your highness!”Â
The men rush towards him to only step back when Bolt starts running circles like a banshee. Xavier was barely holding on.Â
The men tried everything.Â
Ropes, voices, sticks.Â
Chapter37Â
But Bolt was oblivious. Not giving a damn about anyone. Not caring if he stepped over anyone and killed them.Â
I keep standing there, frozen in my place.Â
Seeing everyone running around. Screaming and shouting. And the next thing I know I see him coming towards me at full speed.Â
His wild eyes staring at me, searching for his calm.Â
When I only offer them more fear.Â
“Luna! Move aside!”Â
I hear Ron scream at me but my feet refused to move. Rather clenching my fists I start taking slow calculated steps towards them.Â
”Â
Is she crazy!”Â
Chapter37Â
Does she wanna die!”Â
”Â
‘He will run over her!”Â
I didn’t care about what the people were saying. My focus stays just one. Bolt’s eyes.Â
His thudding footsteps come closer and for a second my eyes flicker up to meet Xaviers.Â
I saw something in his eyes which I thought he wasn’t capable of feeling.Â
Concern.Â
Not for his own life. But me. And that’s when I receive a mindlin lis voice deadly and lowÂ
Chapter37Â
What the fuck is wrong with you, Doll. I command you to step aside. NOW!”Â
Where any other person would have shivered under his command, a strange power immuned me from his command.Â
All I cared about right now was to calm bolt.Â
To save him.Â
To protect him.Â
Looking away from Xavier I focus back on Bolts eyes. Extending my palm. I keep staring at him. Whispering under my breath.Â
Calm down my boy.Â
Calm down.Â

I am here.Â
He still doesn’t stop and I close my eyes to accept my fate.Â
1 secondÂ

- 10.Â
Nothing happened. And a deadly silence follows. The screaming crowd suddenly went dead.Â
I breathe heavily. Beads of sweat dribble down my temple, yet I didn’t had it in me to open my eyes.Â
But then I felt it.Â
Chapter37Â
Soft hair brush my fingertips.Â
The mane.Â
My eyes snap open and a smile morphs on my lips. Bolt had his head bowed to me, his black eyes staring at me. The calm animal in front of me completely opposite to the horse on a rampage from two minutes earlier.Â
“Bolt…”Â
I choke whisper and he makes a low soft sound. Without caring about anyone, I throw my body on him and wrap my arms around him.Â
He lets me, rubbing his muzzle against mine, he literally licks my face.Â
I giggle. Patting his head.Â
“My good boy Relax now. You are fine. I am here.”Â
Behind him I see Xavier getting down from him, immediately a team of doctors and other pack members rush towards him.Â
RÂ
”Â
Your Mahesty!”Â
Are you hurt?”Â
“Medics! Hurry!”Â
He doesn’t acknowledge them. Rather his eyes stay focussed at me and Bolt resting his face in my neck.Â
He dusts his clothes and shoes everyone his hand.Â
And everyone suddenly shuts up. The commotion stills.Â
Chapter37Â
Without any delay he approaches one if the guards with the gun and opens his palms in front of him.Â
The guard hands him the gun and my stomach twisted. Fear hits my insides.Â
As if fearing it, Bolt tries to protect me, he roars at Xavier and I pat his mane to calm him.Â
”Â
Relax Bolt. He is not going to hurt you.”Â
I don’t know if this lie was an assurance to him or myself, because in two long strides Xavier reaches us to command me in his low dangerous voice.Â
His eyes devoid of any emotion. Cold as steel.Â
”Â
Doll, move aside.”Â
He points the gun towards Bolt and I rush to stand in front of him. Blocking his view of him.Â
“No Xavier. Please. Listen to me. Something must have caused it. I know Bolt, he is a well mannered horse-”Â
‘Sierra. I said, MOVE ASIDE!”Â
He enunciated each word with a maddening fury in his eyes and I swear if there was anyone aside me? They would have pissed their pants.Â
I refuse meeting his eyes. And I hear sone people gasp.Â
No one has ever stood against his command.Â
A woman?Â
ImpossibleÂ
But I wasn’t a woman or a betrayer right now. I was just a protector of an innocent who couldn’t speak and tell everyone that he is not guilty.Â
A saviour.Â
Xavier nods at Ron and within seconds guards enter and grab my arms pulling me away from Bolt. The other men rush and throw ropes and inject tranquillizers into his skin.Â
They had him down on the floor within seconds and my eyes tear.Â
I thrash against the guards to scream.Â
“No! Don’t hurt him! The rope is too tight!”Â
He is in pain! Please stop!”Â
Chapter 37Â
No one listened to me. Rather looking at Xavier, they waited for his command.Â
He is the only one who can stop this.Â
I have to reach him.Â
Yes. Twisting my body I managed to get out of one of the guards grip and I sprint towards Xavier.Â
Almost stumbling over to fall on his chest, I grab his collar to look into his cold eyes with my teary ones.Â
“1Â
‘Listen… Listen to me Xavier…”Â
”Â
‘It was a mistake. Bolt is well mannered. You don’t have to kill him for it… please…”Â

Chapter37Â
He looks down at me like I am fly he wants to quash and within a second my body is turned around and my back is flushed against hisÂ
chest.Â
He wraps his one arm around my neck in a necklock and I struggle clawing and pulling on his forearm to escape his grip.Â
“1Â
Ahhhh”Â
Everyone was watching but he didn’t care.Â
Rather dropping his face into my neck, he fans his hot breath on my ear to whisper.Â
“I cherish and take care of those pets who obey me and know their place…”Â
But the second they lose control and think they can go against me?”Â
Chapter3?Â
He lifts his gun to point at a struggling bolt wrapped in the ropes. My heart stops. No….no.Â
“I eliminate them.”Â
The sound of the gun firing echoes and I scream on top of my lungs. Feeling fresh tears sliding down my eyes.Â
He can’t do this.Â
No..Â
