TESSA

I took a deep breath as I knocked on the door of his office.

“Come in.”

I walked in and started politely.

“You asked for me,sir.”

I looked up and I was startled by the angry expression on his face.

Seriously?

What’s with his mood swings?!

“Do you think you can seduce me simply because I had a one night stand with you?I’m not so weak,woman,”He barked.

I was genuinely confused.

If anything,he was the one trying to seduce me in the elevator!

And right now, I was prepared to say anything in my defense.

‘I don’t understand what you mean.And I’m not interested in you,sir.”

He scoffed.”I don’t get you.Sometimes I think you’re sweet and funny and other time…you seem manipulative.And I hate manipulative women!”

Anger rolled through me at his words.

‘How am I manipulative?”

Did I cause the crowd at the elevator?

Did I ask him to help me?

Did I tell him to rub his dick on my ass?

f he wasn’t my boss,I would have berated hell out of him.

My eyes widened to see him bring out my blue disposable underwear.

I scoffed.

‘Good.You can leave now.”

nodded,curtly and walked off.

Stupid jerk!

As soon as I got back to my desk,Audrey hurried over.

What did the boss want?”

eeling my underwear in my pocket,I knew I wasn’t bold enough to tell her what had just happened.

Nothing much. We talked about the project.”

I quickly held my face.”Red? What? They’re not red!I think I need a glass of water.”I quickly hurried off.

I wasn’t in the mood to put up with her questions.

After the day’s work…I walked out of the building and when I felt my panties in my pocket.

I got super annoyed again.

I took it out and dumped it into the trash can.

That night I had the best sleep Ive ever had in the past one week.

The bright morning sun woke me up the following day.

I smiled at that fact that I wasn’t going to work today.

I stretched and rolled on the bed…

This is so nice.

I grabbed my cellphone and saw three missed calls from Edgar.

I grinned and dialed his number.

“Good morning, Tessa.”

“Good morning.I just saw your missed calls.”

“Oh yeah,I wanted to ask how your day went yesterday. You told me your project would come to an end on Monday.”

‘Yeah…it did.And it went well.As a matter of fact.I got a three days leave.”

‘Oh that’s nice. Would you like to spend one night of the three days with me?”

I slowly sat up, “Spend the night with you?”

‘Oh…I don’t mean it that way…I mean can we have dinner tonight?”

I smiled.”Sure.”

‘Great.I’ll pick you up at 6:30.”

‘Alright.See you tonight.”I hung up and stared at the screen of my phone.

I know that Edgar likes me.

But I don’t feel the same yet.

He’s financially okay…he’s kind and handsome.

I think he would make a good partner.

Maybe I just need more time to get to know him.

I had a fun night with Edgar.

He made me laugh and often times praised my smile…my laughter…

Maybe…..just maybe he would eventually make my heart beat for him.

By the time the three days were over…I felt energized and mentally okay to get back to work.

I arrived at the company and hummed my favorite song as I walked through the way.

At the opposite direction….

I saw Declan walking towards me with a woman who was elegantly dressed.

Looking closely…I frowned seeing that it was Anna.

I looked around….

There was no way I could avoid them so I continued walking,sighing as we got closer…..
