Chapter 297
Asher’s Pov
I groaned as I blocked my eyes from the glare of the sun that was seeping through the curtains. Something hard and small was thrown on my stomach and I removed my arm from my face and saw that it was Luke who flew my phone on my bare stomach.
“Dude, stop moping around like you lost her forever. That’s the worst state you’ve been in, just mah up and call her. It’s been like, what, two days?” He mumbled as he picked up the empty tins of beer and dumped them in a large black trash bag. I had been ignoring her calls for the past two days. I felt guilty about it, but I needed space to think and hearing her voice would have just made me forgive her right away.
I groaned and rolled over so I wouldn’t face him anymore. I felt like shit. My muscles were stiff and sore as I tried stretching them out. I let out a grunt when I felt the metal tin hit my back and land on my soft bed.

Luke yelled, impatience seeping from his tone.
“What are you even doing here?” I grumbled and turned around to face him. I squeezed my eyes shut when it burned from the sunlight in the room. The fucker had opened the curtains fully.
“I’m here to help your ass before you actually lose her.” He snotted. I heard him shifting around the room and opened my eyes to see what he was up to. His back was to me as he bent down to pick up more empty beer cans.
I had resorted to drinking for the past two days. My mind had been clogged up with images of her and drinking seemed to ease the pain I felt in my chest at the thought of her. Well at least until the alcohol wears off.
“How are you so sure I hadn’t lost her yet? She wasn’t going to tell me about the pregnancy, she was going to leave me man.” I mumbled sadly as I remembered that day. Everyone knew before me, the one who actually got her pregnant.
“So fucking what man, maybe she was afraid that you won’t want the child, she had every right to think that with how you treated her in the past. I mean, what she did wasn’t right, but you’re being a hypocrite. Everyone deserves a second chance, just like she gave you more than that.” He professes. I groaned, he was right. She never gave up on me, it was a miracle that she gave me a chance to begin with. I knew I had to speak to her sooner or later, but it didn’t stop the fear of her rejecting me. “Now, stop sulking and go have a shower so you can go and talk to your girl, pops!” He joked.
“Shut up.” I laughed and got up. It still felt unreal that I actually am going to be a dad, that so with the girl I love.
“Aren’t you going to call her?” Luke asked, confused, and looked at the phone I left on the bed.

“Nah, I’ll go to see her in person. I’m sure she’s with her friend Rosé because I know she won’t stay in the same room with Sonia, especially with what they did to her.” Thinking about what they did to her had my temper flaring.
“Those bitches didn’t have any right to humiliate her.” He gritted out. He wasn’t there, but I had informed him.
I nodded. “I’ll make them pay.” I stated, and went to have that much needed shower,
I knocked on Rose’s apartment door and waited for her to open up. When she finally did, her eyes widened not expecting me. I gave an embarrassed smile and scratched the back of my head.
“Can I speak to Lily?” I asked nervously, shifting from one foot to the other.
“She actually was supposed to be meeting you at your parents, your mom called her to say that you were waiting for her there.” She said, confused. My heart dropped hearing those words tumble out of her mouth.
No wonder she was confused when she saw me. I was supposed to apparently be with my parents. My mom surely is planning something and that thought didn’t settle well with me…
“Uh, okay, I’ll be going there then.” I rushed out, I didn’t wait for a reply as I turned on my heels and walked out of the building. I hopped on my motorcycle and raced there, overtaking a good amount of vehicles.

As I entered, I noticed that dad was opening the door, after knocking countless times. My eyebrows raised in question when no maid opened, instead watched as he entered and I hopped off the bike so i could rush in before he closed the doors,

“What the hell are you guys up to?” I asked, straight to the point. I walked in and looked around. There weren’t maids which was strange, there’s always workers around.
“What are you talking about?” He asked, more confused as he, too, looked around. I studied him, it was clear that he just came back from work with the way he was dressed. “Margaret!” He yelled and looked around. Footsteps were heard before the basement door opened. I watched as my mother got out, looking out of breath. I walked towards her and gripped her wrist in a tight bruising grip.
“Where is she?” I boomed, making her cower.
“What are you talking about?” She asked, composed. I could see through that act of hers and pushed her away from me. She lost her footing and stumbled back. I brushed past her and entered the basement just in time to hear Shelly’s voice.
“What the fuck is going on here?” I boomed as I saw Lily tied to a pipe. My heart sank as I ran towards her and untied the ropes bounding her. Rage filled my body as I looked at the state she was in. I’m going to fucking kill those bastards.
LILY’S POV♡
He untied the ropes quickly and held me tightly after he was done. I sobbed into his shoulder as I hugged soothed his hands in my hair.
“I’m here now, baby. I won’t let them hurt you anymore.” He whispered and pulled away thighs, his eyes turned murderous.

“Release her, Asher, she isn’t worth it.” I spoke up. My thighs still hurt and I held the pipe so I wouldn’t fall from the pain.
He sighed before letting go. “Call the cops, dad.” He said and walked back towards me.
Margaret fell on the floor as she tried to suck in as much air as she needed. Mr. Grey pulled out his phone before doing exactly what his son had said. After he had informed the police, he looked at us. “They’re on their way.”

His eyes turned warm before he gave me a chaste kiss. He picked me up before walking up the stairs just as the police officers barged in
“I love you too, baby. Let’s go home.” He whispered in my ear and kissed my head tenderly. I smiled at him before snuggling closer to his chest. “Oh, have to bring you to the hospital first.” He laughed and nodded at my thighs.
