Chapter 8
Too bad I had been putting up with it for seven years.
The Wedding
After that morning’s little fiasco, Dylan finally disappeared, giving me the space to focus on my wedding.
I had imagined my wedding plenty of times before.
But never, in my wildest dreams, did I expect Logan to go all out like this.
Biliboards everywhere.
A parade of luxury cars.
When I arrived at the venue, I wasn’t surprised to see Dylan and Hailey among the guests.
It had been a while since I last saw him.
He looked exhausted, dark circles shadowing his eyes.
They were whispering, trying to figure out who Logan’s bride was.
Speculating which rich heiress had managed to capture Logan Bennett’s attention.
To be honest, even now, I was still a little dazed.
I had no idea why a man like him would fall for someone as ordinary as me.
When I stepped into the venue in my wedding dress, Hailey’s voice rang out, dripping with sarcasm.
“Emma, you seriously showed up in a wedding dress?”
“Do you even know who’s getting married today?”
“If you ruin Logan’s wedding, no amount of begging will save you!”
Dylan frowned and stepped forward, grabbing my wrist.
“Emma, stop this. This isn’t just some random wedding.”
“You don’t want to make trouble here.”
I looked at him, my expression blank.
“Dylan, I already told you–I’m married.”
“Today is my wedding.”
For a moment, there was dead silence.
Then laughter erupted around them./
Hailey was nearly in tears from Jaughing.
“This is too much, Emma.”

Chapter 8
“Dylan doesn’t want you, and now you think you can marry some rich guy?”
“I think your brain’s turned to mush, you’ve lost it!”
This time, I stayed quiet.
Logan walked over, his face cold.
He grabbed my hand and calmly scanned the room, his eyes sweeping over everyone.
Under everyone’s shocked gaze, we made our way to the stage.
Once we were up there, Logan took the mic.
“There are some things I’ve known all along.”
“My wife is kind and doesn’t hold grudges, but that doesn’t mean I’ll let things slide.”
Some people in the crowd started trembling.
I couldn’t help but let out a small laugh.
“Alright, today’s a happy day, let’s not get into all of that.”
The rest of the ceremony went smoothly.
It wasn’t until I went to offer tea to Logan’s parents that things took an unexpected turn.
Logan’s mom smiled warmly, holding my hand, wiping tears away as she spoke.
“I never thought that boy would get so lucky, finding you again after all these years.”
I looked up, surprised.
The Logan I remembered as a young boy was now starting to merge with the man standing in front of me.
