Chapter 74 

“Rita?” 

Linda was briefly stunned, thinking that her eyes were playing tricks on her 

She had never seen Rita looking so beautiful. 

The present Rita not only changed her appearance but also her temperament. 

She used to have a timid demeanor, but now her eyes sparkled with confidence and determination. The contrast between her family’s wealth and her lack of vitality made her seem like a ghost haunting their luxurious home. The radiance of her beauty was 

only matched by her natural charm, which shone through with every expression. 

Her face was like a smooth, white canvas, with a tenderness that belied her years. A radiant glow seemed to emanate from her. Her beauty was so captivating that even among a group of stunning individuals, she would still catch your eye. 

While Linda was observing Rita, both Rita and Fredrica noticed her. Fredrica knew she was Oliver’s capable assistant and also a close friend of Cathy, so she didn’t have a good impression of her. Although she didn’t speak, her cold expression was obvious when she glanced at Linda. Inside and out, she clearly showed her disdain. 

Linda didn’t care about Fredrica’s expression and focused on Rita, speaking with arrogance and questioning, “What are you doing 

here?” 

“Who are you? Why should we report to you?” Fredrica retorted with a lack of patience. She was currently upset with Oliver and had no intention of being polite to anyone related to him. 

Linda had been with Oliver for a long time, and her ego had grown accustomed to being stroked by others, which made her naturally arrogant. Her expression flickered momentarily upon hearing Fredrica’s retort, but she quickly regained her composure. 

Instead, she raised her lips with a mocking smile, “Rita, you and President Harrison are already divorced. Could you put an end to your revolting behavior? He never gave you a second look in the four years at the Harrison family. What result do you expect from following him now?” 

“Following him?” Rita looked at Linda, her lips curling slightly upward, repeating her words. Her meaning was, has Oliver also come? 

Linda never had a good impression of Rita, and now she no longer had any reservations, “If I were you, after a divorce, I would find a good school to improve my temperament and skills. External appearance is just the key to att men; the charm that keeps a man’s heart forever is inner charisma. No matter how much you imitate, if you don’t improve inner qualities, you’ll always be a 

wreck!” 

As she spoke, she glanced up and down at Rita’s attire, each word accusing Rita of vainly trying to win back Oliver with her beauty, even imitating Cathy. 

Rita heard these words, but she didn’t feel angry, just amused. She was a well–known internet celebrity with millions of fans. In her livestreams, she not only sang and danced but also taught some dressing skills. 

Cathy’s fashion sense and persona have greatly influenced her current dressing style and image. She decided not to point it out. knowing it would be wasted on someone like Linda who was prone to pettiness. 

However, Fredrica was different. Rita could ignore Linda’s provocations because she looked down on her, but she couldng let other bully her friends. 

Linda was so straightforward and rude in her speech; how could Fredrica let it go? She continued, “Since you are so good with why don’t you use this theory to educate yourself? Someone like you, who can’t tell the difference between real gold and faktany to study hard. No, studying is useless for you; you need to start from scratch!”

Linda was taken aback. Did Fredrica just humiliate her in front of her best friend? But then, the next words made her change her 

expression quickly. 

“You!” Linda had been flattered by many people when she went out because of her relationship with Oliver, but she had never been 

insulted like this. 

Her face turned purple with anger. 

Fredrica’s mouth was venomous and merciless on normal occasions, and now she wasn’t going to give Linda any chances, continuing with her harsh words, “You are just a dog to Oliver, acting like a king all the time. Do you think others are blind and can’t smell the stench of the dog shit spewing from your filthy mouth?” 

“Shut up!” Linda roared in anger, and her lips trembled. 

Fredrica was like an opened floodgate and couldn’t be stopped. She continued with even harsher words, “If you want to kiss Oliver’s ass, it’s your business. Don’t involve Rita. Someone like you isn’t even worthy of being a shoe for Rita!” 

“Oh, by the way, never mind whether Rita knew Oliver was here or not. Even if she did, this is a public place. Who said Oliver could come here, but we couldn’t? Oh, right, you were trailing behind us all the time just now. It seems like you and Oliver were following us, right?” 

Linda couldn’t get a word out due to her anger, and her words were incoherent. 

Fredrica disdainfully sneered at her. “If Rita is still with Oliver even after divorcing him, then it’s her own business. But what about you, Oliver’s little assistant? You think you’re a king and act all high and mighty. Do you think others are blind and can’t smell the stench of the dog shit in your mouth?” 

“That’s enough.” Rita walked over and pulled Fredrica. “A dog biting someone is just a dog’s nature. If a person bites a dog, it lowers 

their status.” 

When Rita intervened to stop Fredrica, Linda initially thought Rita was afraid of Oliver and herself and didn’t want trouble. But she never expected that Rita would also belittle her! 

Rita’s disparaging words were not even half as sharp as Fredrica’s, but to Linda’s ears, they were even more piercing! 

You see, apart from that one time Rita confronted her during the divorce, she had always been submissive. 

Every time Linda went to the Harrison residence, Rita would meekly obey her commands and accept various criticisms and assignments without daring to argue.

Linda had a bunch of harsh words in her mind to scold Rita, but she couldn’t say any of them before Rita walked away

The hospital was designed entirely for ophthalmology patients, with state of the art equipment for eye examinations. So, Rita must be here for an eye check–up!

Linda hurriedly walked a few steps and approached a nurse. She asked in a low voice, “Excuse me, I just saw Fredrica. Is she here for an eye examination?”
