Chapter 215

The next morning, Dorothy was woken up by a phone call.

Just answered the phone, Bryson’s angry voice came from the other end, “Dorothy, what have you done! Why won’t Dwayne let us see Rogelio!”

Dorothy suddenly woke up, sat up, “What did you say?”

“We went to the hospital to see Rogelio, but the hospital security wouldn’t let us in, saying it was Dwayne’s orders!” Bryson was furious. “Dwayne allowed Rogelio to be treated at his hospital, but now suddenly won’t let us visit. What did you do to upset him?”

“You also know Rogelio’s current situation, can’t you just bear with it for Rogelio’s sake!”

“He ended up like this because of you. Are you going to just stand by and watch Rogelio spend the rest of his life lying in a hospital bed?”

Bryson’s words pierced her heart, and before she could even explain, the phone was already hung up.

She lay on the bed, feeling a sense of powerlessness as if a punch had been struck on cotton.

Here, Margaret drove to the Lambert Group, glancing in the rearview mirror at the aloof man in the back seat. “Jovanni had contact with quite a variety of people privately, but someone did go to the police station to see him the day before the incident.”

Dwayne nodded faintly, “Did you find that person?”

Margaret nodded, “I found out that he was Mrs. Lawson’s driver, and…”

She paused for a few seconds, unsure whether to speak or not.

The man frowned, “Speak.”

“Mrs. Lawson and Ms. Acosta were getting close during this time…”

Margaret deliberately glanced at him.

Rogelio was beaten at the police station, and not a single officer on duty noticed. The surveillance cameras conveniently showed that they were under maintenance that day. Such a big oversight clearly indicated that someone was deliberately concealing the truth.

Jovanni, as the supervisor responsible for monitoring Rogelio, could not escape accountability

reliction of dutyalong

with charges of incitement and deliberate condoning of harm to others. If it turns out that Mrs. Lawson is behind himthen Sonia cannot avoid involvement.

I just don’t know what Mr. Lambert would do if he really found out it was related to Sonia.

Dwayne remained silent for a long time.

Chapter 215

The eyes were deeper.

Looking out of the car window, “Mr. Preston said.”

“Mr. Preston said he would not interfere.”

Moreover, his brother–in–law was detained for bribery, and he still remains in custody. With some stains on his own record, he dares not get involved anymore.

Dwayne closed his eyes and remained silent.

Margaret knew he had avoided the issue about Sonia and didn’t press for more information.

Dorothy parked the car in front of the Lambert Group building.

Rolling down the car window to look at the gate.

She was not the first time to come to the Lambert Group.

But every time I came to deliver lunch to him, I was stopped outside.

She never got to see Dwayne once, and those lunch boxes never made it to him.

She never came back again.

Dorothy got off the car, entered the lobby and headed straight to the front desk, “Is Mr. Lambert here?”

Perhaps it had been too long since I last came, the female staff at the front desk had all changed faces.

The female staff asked, “Do you have an appointment?”

“No,” Dorothy thought for a moment, “You can tell assistant Margaret that Dorothy came to see him, she will know.”

The female employee was about to say something when a heavily made–up female manager walked over with a walkie–talkie and asked, “Who are you looking for?”

“The lady was looking for Mr. Lambert, but she didn’t have an appointment yet…”

Neveah Maddox looked Dorothy up and down, with a look of disdain. “Mr. Lambert has a fiancée, and it’s really shameless for a slut like you to have designs on him.”

“Now everyone wants to see Mr. Lambert? The Lambert Group is not a market, not everyone is received.”

Dorothy didn’t insist either, she turned around and was about to leave.

However, there came a woman’s sarcasm from behind, “See, now even women with a little bit of looks want to sell themselves to big companies. Be smart, if Mr. Lambert’s fiancée finds out, you won’t be able to keep this job!”

Dorothy stopped in her tracks.

I didn’t want to argue with her, but her words were really harsh.

Chapter 215

Dorothy returned and slammed the bag on the table, Say that again?”
