Chapter 1 

At the age of twenty, Nataly Benson married her father’s much older friend, Simeon Parrish. 

He was eight years older than her, known as the cold and ruthless king in the circle. He was fierce in business, never getting close to women, but strangely, he was unbelievably gentle towards her. 

He would have the millions worth of jewels sent to her the next day just because she casually said, 

“That necklace looks nice.” 

When she curled up in bed in pain during her period, I would set aside billion–dollar projects and personally cook milk for her, coaxing her to drink spoonful by spoonful. 

He used to pinch her waist when he was emotional, whispering “baby” in a hoarse voice, telling her she was good, getting addicted to her. 

Even all his social media accounts, the name was “To Alice“. 

She always thought it was to commemorate the day they first met, the piece she played on the 

piano. 

Until that day, she found an old photo album in his study. 

The photo album was filled with pictures of the same girl, who bore a striking resemblance to her, standing in front of a piano and smiling.

After discovering the truth, Nataly only did two things. 

The first thing, I went to the hospital to have the five–month–old baby induced. 

A five–month–old baby, already kicking her belly, lay on the operating table. She gritted her teeth and didn’t cry, but when the nurse asked, “Do you want to see the baby?” she shook her head in a breakdown. 

The second thing she did was to draw up a divorce agreement. 

Then, she gave Simeon a call. 

In the past, whenever he called her, she always answered immediately, and then asked gently, “What’s wrong, baby?”

There was a burst of noise on the other end of the phone, followed by his friend’s teasing: “How powerful is the impact of first love? As soon as Alice returned to the country, Simeon immediately dumped the five–month pregnant girl at home.”

There was a sound of footsteps on the other end of the phone, and soon the background returned to 

calm. 

When she spoke again, Simeon’s gentle voice that had captivated her came softly through the receiver, “What’s wrong with the baby? Can’t sleep because of the thunder?” 

“Husband had a business dinner, will come back later to accompany you and the baby, okay?” 

Nataly took a deep breath and said, “I was going to ask you to sign the divorce…” 

The conversation was interrupted by a woman’s voice, “Simeon, my feet hurt…“. 

He was silent for a moment, then hastily said to Nataly, “Be good, go to sleep first. Your husband will come back later to accompany you.” 

And then, the phone hung up. 

Nataly laughed, wiped away all her tears, and looked up at the table. 

There were two “gifts” placed there, all for Simeon.

She was young, but couldn’t withstand such deception. 

She wouldn’t want someone who deceives her. 

She, Nataly, could love, and let go even more. 

She finally got up after sitting for a long time and put the gift box with the child in the refrigerator. 

Just then, there was a sound coming from the front gate of the villa. 

“Baby, why are you still not sleeping?” Simeon took off his suit jacket and walked over, with his tie loosely hanging around his neck. “What are you looking for in the fridge? Are you hungry?” 

Nataly didn’t answer, she just looked at him quietly.

He hesitated for a moment, about to open and read it, when suddenly his phone rang. 

The caller ID showed that she saw it was Alice. 

After the call was answered, the other side said something unknown, his face changed slightly, and after hanging up the phone without even looking, he quickly signed the document. 

Then he picked up the car keys and was about to leave. 

“Baby, I have something urgent to deal with temporarily, you go to bed early.”
