Chapter 263 

“Baby, what’s wrong? Don’t scare me like this! Somebody help! Please, save my son!” the woman cried. 

It was a weekend, and the amusement park was packed with families. The woman’s frantic cries cut sharply through the laughter and chatter around them. 

Two employees rushed over, one immediately calling 911. However, this was an amusement park on a busy day. The traffic congestion meant the nearest hospital was still at least half an hour away. 

Yasmine Ashworth, panicked and trembling, clutched her little boy in her arms. Her son’s name was Cody Fisher. 

Cody’s face burned red, his eyes rolling back, and his lips already turning blue. He clawed at his throat as he gasped soundlessly. 

Sebastian pushed through the crowd. 

With just one glance, he could tell Cody was choking. The little boy looked about five years old, his lips already turning blue. Sebastian’s expression stayed calm as he swiftly pulled the boy into position, wrapped an arm around Cody, and pressed a clenched fist just above his 

navel. 

After a few firm thrusts, a cherry tomato shot out of Cody’s mouth. His neck was flushed red as he gasped for air, then he threw himself into Yasmine’s arms and burst into tears as he sobbed, “Mommy!” 

“It’s alright. You scared me,” Yasmine replied, her face pale as she clutched Cody tightly. She kept thanking Sebastian over and over. And Cody, still shaken, mumbled through his tears, Thank you, sir.” 

Sebastian stood up and calmly warned, “Be careful with things like cherry tomatoes or grapes. They can be dangerous.” 

He then walked back to the table and sat down. He glanced at his watch and said to Selena, “We still have about three hours to play. After that, I’ll take you home.” 

“Mr. Grant, you were amazing,” Selena replied. 

She looked at Sebastian, a glimmer of awe flickering in her eyes. She exclaimed, “You were like a superhero swooping in to save the day!” 

Sebastian froze for a second, warmth flooding his chest. He reached out and gently ruffled her

There probably wasn’t a father alive who could resist the way a little girl looked at him with that kind of awe. His expression softened, full of warmth as he said, “Lenny, if you ever miss me, just give me a call or send me a message.” 

“Alright!” She nodded eagerly. 

“Sir, this is a little gift on the house to thank you for what you did just now,” the server mentioned, handing over a small avocado keychain. 

Sebastian took it and clipped it onto Selena’s backpack. She reached out and fiddled with the keychain, then murmured something under her breath. 

However, Sebastian didn’t catch it. 

Selena murmured, “I want to be a doctor when I grow up.” 

A little after 4:00 pm, Sebastian took Selena back. 

Valeria was already home. She opened the door and met his gaze for a moment before stepping 

aside to let Selena in. 

She glanced back at him standing outside the door and said, “Thank you for today.” 

“No worries,” he replied. It hadn’t felt like an inconvenience at all. In fact, the day had left him genuinely happy. 

He caught sight of the small living room inside, which was clean, inviting, and filled with sunlight. 

Sebastian looked at Valeria, who stood at the doorway, making no move to let him in. She was just about to close the door when he reached out and stopped her. 

His voice was rough but gentle, with a trace of pleading in it. “Can I… hug you?” 

Valeria looked at him. His eyes were steady and impossible to read, carrying emotions she couldn’t place. Something about them pulled at her, like he could draw her in without even trying.
