Chapter 104 

Last night, the kisses had felt so intense. 

It was an absolute disaster. Jessica shouldn’t have said those filthy things to Sasha. As it turned out, Zachary had heard every word she’d said! 

What should she do now? She set her phone down, cupped the glass in both hands, and desperately gulped the water.

“Mr. Jones, the CEO’s office…” 

The CEO’s office had already been fitted with a new desk and was fully disinfected, yet Zachary still insisted that the workers move all the computers and the couch down to the 29th–floor 

conference room. 

Even though everything else had already been taken care of, he insisted on moving them downstairs. Joshua couldn’t quite understand it. 

“Are you done with your work?” Zachary asked. 

Joshua didn’t comprehend what he’d meant. “Huh?” 

“Leave.” 

“Got it.” 

Zachary stood in the small suite, picking up two nail tips from the bedside table and smiling faintly, 

Joshua hadn’t gone far before returning. “Mr. Jones, someone downstairs is looking for you.” 

“No appointments today. I’m not seeing anyone,” Zachary said. 

“You have to see this person,” Joshua insisted. 

Zachary tilted his head toward Joshua, pausing for a moment. “Have her come up.” 

“She’s asking you to come down instead,” Joshua said. 

Zachary froze as if he’d just heard something unbelievable. “Joshua, are you sure you know who signs your paycheck every month?” 

“Madame Mayhem,” Joshua replied.

Zachary looked at him incredulously. “Who?” 

“Madame Mayhem,” Joshua repeated. 

In the first–floor lobby, a woman sat with one leg over the other. Knee–high boots hugged her toned legs, and fitted jeans accentuated her figure. 

A black mink coat hung over her shoulders, and with sunglasses shielding her eyes and sleek black hair framing her face, she radiated an air of authority. 

She took a sip of her hot coffee and flipped through the Jonest Magazine issue in her hands. 

The elevator doors on the first floor slid open, and Zachary hurried out. A flicker of surprise crossed his eyes as he looked at the woman on the couch. 

She looked so familiar. 

The woman removed her sunglasses–revealing sharp, almond–shaped eyes–and slowly 

stood. 

“Mr. Jones,” she greeted him first. 

“Ms. York,” Zachary replied. 

Only then did Zachary realize that she was Elsa, Jessica’s best friend. 

They shook hands and sat together on the couch. 

Zachary glanced at the suitcase beside her, then turned to look at Joshua. 

Joshua caught onto the signal immediately and nodded. 

“I heard that you’ve recently been looking for Madame Mayhem, Mr. Jones,” Elsa said lightly. 

“Yes,” Zachary replied. 

Elsa nodded subtly and pulled a contract from her bag, sliding it across to him. “Take a look. If everything’s fine, you can sign it.” 

Zachary paused for a moment before taking the contract. “You’re Madame Mayhem?” 

Elsa shook her head. “No.” 

Zachary asked, “Where is she, then?” 

Elsa replied, “Her work has always gone through me. This project’s no different. She doesn’t like dealing with people, so she won’t be showing up anytime soon. If that’s fine, sign it. If 

not, that’s fine, too.”

Elsa’s words sounded genuine. 

She opened the software on her tablet and showed him the account dashboard. She then handed it to him to check. It was indeed Madame Mayhem herself. 

Zachary had spent three whole months searching for Madame Mayhem without a single lead. Out of nowhere, she appeared through Elsa. 

Zachary asked, “Ms. York, don’t you want to inspect it yourself?” 

Elsa let out a light chuckle. “Jessica’s man isn’t likely to be incompetent, is he?” 

Joshua wiped a bead of sweat from his forehead. Elsa spoke her mind without hesitation. 

“I’ll give you an answer the day after tomorrow,” Zachary said. 

“Fine,” Elsa replied. She then picked up her Chanel bag and slipped on her sunglasses, pausing for a moment. 

“Is this your assistant?” she asked, lowering her glasses slightly and narrowing her eyes at Joshua. 

Joshua shivered under her gaze. 

“Yes,” he stammered. 

“Can I borrow him for two days?” she asked. 

“Sure,” Zachary replied without hesitation. 

“Let’s go, Mr. Smith,” she said, walking gracefully toward the exit. 

Joshua’s helpless gaze swept over Zachary. It was as if his face said, “Even if I’m up for grabs, there’s got to be a price, right?” 

Zachary ignored him entirely, focusing solely on the documents in his hands,
