Chapter 196 ThreatÂ
Hillary looked at Benson, disappointment flashing in her eyes. She could understand Hanson setting her up, but she’d known Benson for years, yet he’d betrayed her, too.Â
She had been thinking of giving him a chance earlier. She slowly closed her eyes for a moment.Â
Watching her like that, Benson felt uneasy, but he had no other choice. Winter was threatening him. If he didn’t go along with her instructions, he wouldn’t survive in the entertainment industry. Compared to Hillary, his career obviously mattered more.Â
Hillary opened her eyes and exchanged a look with Nancy before speaking. “I can apologize. But I happen to have a rather interesting video here. Why don’t we all take a look at it first?”Â
With that, she rose from her seat and walked onto the stage.Â
Wendy felt a sudden wave of unease as she watched Hillary pull out a flash drive. “Hillary, stop fighting it. All I want is an apology. Is that really so hard?”Â
Ignoring her, Hillary plugged it into the computer. Moments later, surveillance footage appeared on the big screen.Â
The audience was stunned.Â
“Isn’t that the hotel where Hillary supposedly seduced Hanson?”Â
“What’s she trying to pull?”Â
On the screen, Hanson was the first to enter the hotel room.Â
Beneath the stage, Natalie leaned back with her arms crossed, completely relaxed.Â
She knew perfectly well that more than just Hillary and Hanson had been in that hotel room, but Winter had already paid a hacker to delete the footage of the director going in. What was the point of showing this now?Â
Lounging lazily in her chair, she suddenly froze when the next figure appeared on screen.Â
Benson?Â
The room erupted.Â
“Mr. Foster went in, too?”Â
“What the hell is going on?”Â
“So Hillary was telling the truth. She wasn’t the only one there. What on earth are Wendy and Hanson up to?”Â
Realizing they might have been fooled, people were getting angry.Â
Wendy was stunned. Didn’t Natalie say the surveillance footage had been dealt with? Then, what did Hillary just show?Â
“Are you surprised? You had a hacker delete the part where Mr. Foster went in. Unfortunately for you, I also know a hacker.” Hillary’s lips curved in a cool, mocking smile, her gaze brushing overÂ
Nancy.Â
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Wendy guiltily looked away.Â
Suddenly, Natalie spoke up. “Hillary, if I were you, I wouldn’t dare show this to anyone. You’ve got some nerve. You actually had a threesome with them, and you still think you’re innocent?”Â
“A threesome? She’s that wild?”Â
“Just look at her. She’s got that temptress vibe. It’s no wonder that she’s so good at reeling men in.’Â
“Unbelievable. I didn’t think we’d get a scandal like this today! Mr. Foster and Hanson? Wow…”Â
“No way! Mr. Foster can’t be that kind of man!”Â
The live stream blew up with comments.Â
“A threesome? Is Hillary even human, playing around like that?”Â
“Are your brains fried? Just because Natalie says it doesn’t make it true. She and Hillary are enemies. She’s obviously trying to drag her name through the mud!”Â
“I can’t believe this. For Natalie to stoop this low just to smear Hillary’s name-that’s downrightÂ
malicious.”Â
Everyone’s eyes kept drifting toward Hanson and Benson.Â
Benson’s face was dark. This was being broadcast live, and with Natalie putting it out there like that, what would happen to his reputation?Â
He didn’t want to admit anything, but his phone buzzed with a message from Natalie.Â
“Mr. Foster, you don’t want your career to end here, do you? If you don’t admit it, then it’ll be confirmed that you were in on framing Hillary with us. After that, neither Winter nor I will ever work with you again.Â
“But if you admit it, you’ll just lose your reputation. My projects will still go to you, and Winter will still invest in you.”Â
