Chapter 157 Nancy’s Boyfriend was Gideon All Along 

Howard was expressionless. “The upper management was the one who made the decision. It just means that Northern Hospital is a better fit for us.” 

“But Northern Hospital can’t hold a candle to us!” Jasper protested. 

“That’s just your opinion.” Howard was getting impatient. “I have to go.” 

Jasper tried to press him further, but then caught sight of Gideon and Nancy walking toward them. 

His expression instantly darkened. He had been waiting for Nancy to come begging him, but who could’ve guessed that Northern Hospital would suddenly be on par with Ultracare Hospital? 

Nancy had to be feeling pleased with herself right now. 

Jasper was filled with rage. Since he couldn’t stop Howard, Jasper headed straight for Nancy and Gideon instead. 

“Nancy,” he called coldly. “You’re enjoying this, aren’t you? But don’t get too full of yourself. Your grandmother can’t survive on medication alone. She’s going to need surgery. The only ones qualified to perform it are Dr. Gale and his mentee. Dr. Gale happens to be an old friend of mine. 

“One word from me, and your grandmother won’t be getting that surgery.” 

Nancy looked at him with irritation. “Do you realize how much you sound like a fly buzzing in someone’s ear right now?” 

“What? So you don’t even care whether she lives or dies? You really are heartless,” Jasper mocked. 

“Get lost!” 

The voice came from Gideon. A shiver shot down Jasper’s spine. When he met Gideon’s gaze, the chill ran all the way to his 

toes. 

He wondered how one man could carry such a presence. 

Jasper masked his fear. “And who is this pretty boy supposed to be? Let’s be clear here. Nancy’s grandmother is in this state because of you. Don’t you feel the slightest bit of shame?” 

He turned back to Nancy. “You’ve really hit rock bottom for throwing yourself at someone like him.” 

Just then, Howard came hurrying back. 

Jasper’s hopes rose immediately. “Mr. Wagner, have you changed your mind?” 

“Mr. Fuller,” Howard respectfully greeted Gideon. “I didn’t realize you were here.” 

Jasper froze. 

Mr. Fuller? 

It was like a bomb went off in his head. His mind went blank. 

Gideon offered Howard a slight nod. “Is the deal done?” 

“Yes, the contract has already been signed.” Howard’s voice was deferential now. “Mr. Fuller, everyone’s been asking for you. When will you return?” 

“Not for a while.” 

“Understood. I’ll take my leave, then.” Howard nodded politely and started to walk away, but Jasper stopped him. 

“What did you just call him?” Jasper asked.

Howard’s patience with him was long gone. “Mr. Lewis, stop blocking my way. This is Mr. Fuller. It was on his orders that we cut ties with you.” 

Jasper’s jaw dropped. 

The guy he had just called a pretty boy was none other than Gideon Fuller. That meant Nancy’s boyfriend was Gideon. 

If that was the case, why had Regina urged him to go on that blind date with Nancy? Was she trying to destroy him? 

His body trembled as he looked back at Nancy and Gideon. A few seconds later, he suddenly dropped to his knees in front of Gideon. “I’m so sorry, Mr. Fuller! I didn’t recognize you. Please forgive my stupidity!” 

Gideon’s eyes were merciless. Without a word, he took Nancy’s hand and walked away. 

“Mr. Fuller, please. It was all my fault. Just give me one more chance!” Jasper scrambled after them, 

Being blacklisted by Fuller Group was terrifying. The business world followed the wind, and once word spread, other companies would avoid the Lewis family, too. 

Jasper’s regret consumed him whole. 

He chased them all the way to the car, only to be left choking on exhaust fumes. 

Tears stung his eyes. He couldn’t let the Lewis family collapse. 

Everything had happened because of Regina! If she hadn’t pushed him into that blind date, none of this would’ve happened. 

Fury burned in his chest. He dumped all his anger onto Regina. 

Meanwhile, Regina was still riding the high from learning that Raine was Benny’s final mentee. As soon as she got home, she 

told Andrew the news. 

Andrew was delighted. “Unbelievable, Raine. To think you had such a talent! Why didn’t you tell us sooner?” 

“I believe keeping a low profile and focusing on learning is what matters the most. I don’t like to show off.” Raine flashed a 

modest smile. 

Regina laughed and added, “She’s right. If people knew who she really was, the Lidells would be in chairs every day. Darling, are you still planning to hold that dinner for Nancy?”
