Chapter 32 Let’s Get Our Divorce Certificate and End This Completely
Catherine hadn’t stepped out of her home for the past two days.
She noticed a dark green G–Class parked outside when she finally went downstairs to throw
out the trash.
What was Harry doing here?
She pretended not to see it and tossed her garbage before turning around to leave.
However, the sound of a car door slamming shut came from behind. She took out the keys and unlocked the door before stepping inside. A hand pressed against the door before she could
close it.
Catherine looked up and saw Harry.
She hadn’t forgotten the last time he barged in here and nearly forced himself on her. She stared at him cautiously. “Harry, you already moved out of here.”
“I know. I just came to talk.” He pushed the door a little, and she stumbled back a few steps. He lowered his head and looked at her fragile figure. She looked light and devoid of strength. He changed into slippers out of habit, closed the door, and sat on the living room couch. “The man who sabotaged your brakes has been caught.”
Catherine was still angry at his intrusion. She jerked her head toward him in shock at his words. “Does it have anything to do with my parents‘ accident?”
“No.” Harry set a folder on the table. “It was a coincidence. Here’s your parents‘ case file. Based on the comparisons, this was just someone copying the same method used two years ago. The person behind your case still hasn’t been found yet.”
She instinctively looked up at him in surprise.
He had always been the one who was most annoyed by everything related to her. Why was he suddenly helping her for no reason?
She looked at the detachment in his eyes and knew there had to be conditions attached. He wouldn’t do anything for her without a price.
She said calmly, “What do you want in return?”
He replied faintly, “Stay away from my mother. If there’s anything, you can come to me directly.”

Whenever he went to see Rachel, they couldn’t get through three sentences without mentioning Catherine. Once they brought up Catherine, they would inevitably end up arguing.
He had no intention of fighting with his mother.
The source of the conflict was Catherine, and cutting her out was the easiest fix.
He got up with a troubled mind to pour himself some water. His gaze drifted toward the bedroom they used to share.
The door was open. Everything inside was the same as before. His eyes lingered on the bed.
He had pushed her down against that mattress for countless nights.
She would wrap her legs tightly around his waist with glistening eyes as she begged him to
stop.
Harry’s throat tightened. He looked away and downed the glass of water, trying to drown the thoughts that shouldn’t resurface.
Catherine stared at his back. Did he think she was deliberately clinging to Rachel?
She chuckled. “Don’t worry. I’ll stay far away from both of you from now on.”
He gave a quiet grunt of acknowledgement. He pursed his lips and felt a hint of displeasure when he looked around the house and noticed his belongings had all been cleared.
He had demanded she remove them. But why did it feel so unpleasant now that she had actually done so?
He suppressed the emotions he was feeling. “I’ll assign someone to protect you-
“I don’t need that.” She cut him off and refused him without hesitation before mentioning their divorce. “Let’s get our divorce certificate and end things between us.‘
His gaze turned slightly icy, yet he was still smiling on the surface. His eyes flicked to her stomach. “Didn’t I tell you? It depends on my mood.”
“But I don’t want to keep being entangled with you.” Catherine was truly exhausted. She collapsed onto the couch with an obvious hint of weariness on her face. “I’ll give you and her my blessing. You need to let me go.”
Since they were already on the verge of divorcing, why couldn’t it be clean and decisive?
The constant entanglement would only make her look like a fool. She would continue to feel humiliated in front of him and Michelle.

“Catherine, you schemed against me back then. Now, you want to walk away. It doesn’t work like that.” He sat across from her and lifted her chin. His voice was soft. “I’ll have to take back what you owe me, won’t I?”
