Chapter 25 Harry Is the One Dragging Out the Divorce
Catherine stayed in the hospital for nearly two weeks until the baby’s condition stabilized. Rachel visited her several times during this period, and thinking about Harry’s terrible behavior nearly made her furious. Catherine had to comfort her for a long time to calm her
down.
On the day she was discharged, Catherine didn’t notify anyone and went home alone. She had already cleared out Harry’s belongings, which made the large house feel much emptier and
colder.
She opened her laptop to find work had piled up considerably. Several projects needed her review. Caleb was pressing her to return to work quickly, saying the company couldn’t function without her.
She needed to attend meetings for project handovers. Seeing that there was so much work to be done, Catherine resigned herself to going through everything and scheduled meetings for the next day.
After one meeting, Catherine felt mentally exhausted. Before she could catch her breath, someone pushed open her office door. It was Michelle, whom she hadn’t seen in a while.
She had almost forgotten about this person.
“If I remember correctly, there’s no Bluebay project meeting today, right?” Catherine filed today’s meeting notes in the cabinet behind her.
Michelle sat in the chair across from her, staring steadily. “I’m not here to discuss business today. I want to talk about Harry.”
“Then, we have nothing to discuss.” Catherine turned to face Michelle directly. “I’m willing to divorce him, but he’s the one dragging it out. You should go to him about this.”
Michelle placed her hands on the desk. Her gaze was fixed on Catherine’s midsection. ” Pregnancy must be quite uncomfortable.”
Catherine became alert at these words. “The child isn’t his.”
Michelle just smiled, “You don’t need to be so tense. Of course, I know the child isn’t his. I’m
just making conversation and picking up some tips for when I’m pregnant.”
Catherine didn’t let her guard down. “You can ask a doctor for advice. Leave me out of it. I don’t want any connection to either of you.”
Michelle withdrew her gaze and rested her chin on her hand somewhat helplessly. “I won’t

“Then, you’re talking to the wrong person.” Catherine’s phone rang, and after taking the call, she said coldly, “I’d be very grateful if you can make Harry divorce me.”
She took her laptop and left the office. Once alone, Michelle sighed and picked up her phone to send a message. Over the last few days, she had tried hinting to Harry in different ways, but he showed no signs of agreeing to the divorce.
Michelle had tried many methods, but Harry didn’t budge at all. Since she couldn’t solve the problem, she would have to solve the person causing the problem.
If Catherine died, her marriage to Harry would automatically end, giving Michelle a chance to take her place. She put down her phone and looked calmly in the direction Catherine had gone. Her lips curved in a slight smile.
She really hadn’t intended to harm Catherine’s child, because she planned to eliminate both mother and child together.
Michelle didn’t want to go this far. She felt it was unnecessary to eliminate Catherine, but Harry was dragging out the divorce.
As long as she remained unwed to him, Michelle would never feel secure.
