Chapter 9 Then You Should Go Tell Harry That

Catherine drove to Michelle’s residence with mixed emotions. The place looked warm and inviting. Clearly, a lot of thought was put into it. The yard was filled with roses, and a white cat was lying on a swing in the garden.

This had once been her dream home, but Harry had given the house to Michelle. She suppressed the emotions rising in her heart and rang the doorbell.

Michelle appeared on the second-floor balcony. She looked down at Catherine with a smile. Ms. Quinn, you’re here.”

Catherine naturally lifted the gifts in her hand. “I’m here on behalf of the company.”

“How thoughtful of you, Ms. Quinn.” Michelle came downstairs to open the door and invited Catherine inside. She casually ran her fingers through her hair, revealing red marks on her

neck.

“The house is a bit messy. I haven’t had time to call housekeeping yet.”

Catherine didn’t miss the love bites on Michelle’s neck, or the rumpled nightgown and used

condoms scattered on the floor. Michelle wanted her to see all this.

Catherine pulled herself together and placed the gifts on the coffee table, saying softly, “Ms.

Stone, I’d like to discuss the partnership.”

Michelle sat on the couch, looking at Catherine. Since no one else was around, she didn’t bother pretending anymore and spoke carelessly, “I’ll be direct then. If you want me to give you this project, you need to divorce Harry and leave Neovara.”

Just as she had expected, Michelle would definitely use this project to force her to leave Harry. What she hadn’t anticipated was that Harry apparently hadn’t told her they were already getting a divorce.

Now, all they needed was the divorce certificate. Still, she could divorce Harry, but she would

never agree to leave Neovara.

“I refuse to meet your demands.” Catherine looked at Michelle calmly. “I won’t leave Neovara.

Michelle crossed her arms and smiled. “Then, we have nothing to discuss. You can watch your company go bankrupt.”

Catherine stared at her steadily. “Michelle, just what are you afraid of?”

Michelle’s smile disappeared, and she looked both embarrassed and angry. “What did you say?

“Harry loves you so much, so why do you seem so insecure?” Catherine suddenly laughed softly.

Michelle found that laugh somewhat mocking, and Catherine seemed to see right through her carefully planned scheme.

Michelle calmed herself down. She had Harry wrapped around her finger, so she shouldn’t be the one losing composure. She picked up her teacup and took a delicate sip.

“Your presence only annoys Harry and constantly reminds him of how you schemed to marry him in the first place.”

“Then you should be more confident. The way you’re so eager to drive me out of Neovara really makes you look insecure.” Catherine stood up and smiled at Michelle.

“Well, now, Ms. Stone, sorry to have bothered you.”

“Don’t let me keep you.” Michelle tightened her grip on the cup. Her tone was ice-cold.

As Catherine turned to leave, Michelle’s voice sounded behind her. “Catherine, do you know Harry has been staying at my place for the past two days?”

Catherine didn’t turn around. She merely lowered her eyes. “I do now.”

Perhaps she had been heartbroken so many times, because being here and seeing this only made her feel briefly suffocated and depressed, but then she quickly accepted it. She would get used to it eventually.

“Catherine, Harry’s always loved me. You should back off now. Hanging on like this just makes you look undignified.” Michelle also stood up. “You’ve already wasted two years of our time.’ Catherine stopped walking and smiled slightly. “Then, you should go tell Harry that.”

Since Harry hadn’t mentioned their divorce, she had no need to inform Michelle either. This person who talked about dignity certainly wasn’t acting very dignified herself.

After Catherine left, Michelle looked at the gifts on the coffee table and swept everything to the floor in a rage.
