Chapter 182
Valeria immediately tried to shake off Sebastian’s hand as soon as she got out of the car.
Sebastian chuckled out of anger. “So, you’re just trying to get me to leave, huh?”
He looked up to the sixth floor again. Every other unit in the apartment was dark except for
hers.
His arms around her waist refused to let go.
Sebastian felt that he should not have gone soft on her earlier. “Don’t tell me you’re going
back to continue where you’ve left off with Shane.”
Seeing how tired Valeria was, he did not have the heart to argue with her.
Valeria replied, “I’ll be free after 10:00 pm that night.”
Sebastian still did not let go of her.
She turned to look at him, and he replied, “Do I pick you up? Or will you be coming to me?”
The cold wind blowing against Valeria had thoroughly woken her up. “We’ll see when the time
comes.”
Sebastian still refused to let her go. His fingers gave her soft waist a light squeeze through the
already soft down jacket.
Looking at her calm and collected expression, he eventually let go of her, but not without tilting his chin toward the dustproof bag on the ground. “Take the dress with you. What’s given is given.”
Before she could say anything, he continued, “You can throw it away if you don’t like it. There’s a trash can right in front of you, or you could even just sell it off as secondhand.”
The money from selling it would be enough for her to live comfortably. She would no longer have to live like a struggling couple with Shane.
Sebastian once received a package from a woman containing something that made him inexplicably furious.
It was sent to his home while he was abroad in Amaran. The woman then blocked him and
erased every possible way for him to reach her.
Ever since, that experience became a fire in his heart that could never be put out. It would flare up from time to time, reminding him of the pain.

Valeria returned home and canceled the pickup service she had ordered earlier.
She had a mannequin in her apartment. It was smaller than a standard one as it was used for
clothes alteration.
She brought it out and slipped the dress onto it.
The blue gown shimmered under the lights like bright stars.
Valeria had always loved the color blue, especially light blue. She could not resist it, so she
walked up and changed into the gown
herself.
The skirt of the dress was wide and filled with the embroidery of blue roses.
The bust and waistline of the dress also fit her perfectly.
As she had a bigger bust, it was rare to find such a perfect fit whenever Valeria shopped for clothes. Whenever she managed to find something that fit her chest, it would be too loose on
her waist. Vice versa, if it fit her waist, it would be too tight for her chest.
The dress, however, was altered to fit her body flawlessly.
There was no way she could even sell it off as secondhand, as the dress was tailored exactly to
her and her alone.
And besides, no one would possibly be looking for a secondhand piece of haute couture worth
millions of dollars.
Valeria did not really have a choice. No one would even believe her dress to be genuine, even if
she tried to list it online.
Such was the gap between Sebastian and her.
Valeria stood in front of the mirror and twirled. She then prepared to take it off when her phone, which was charging by the bed, suddenly started ringing.
It was Sebastian again.
She answered the call and was greeted by his voice before she could even say anything. “When are you turning your lights off?”
It was already 1:00 am.
She replied, “Soon. I still have some work I need to finish.”
She was really exhausted, all thanks to him, yet she was still not done with translating Kayla’s email, which was due by tomorrow.
Valeria walked up to her window and opened the curtains to find Sebastian’s car still waiting

below. “Why are you still here?”
Sebastian asked instead, “What kind of work?”
He stepped out of the car and looked up at the sixth floor.
She leaned against the window as the lights shone from behind her. Her place was the only spot that was lit up in the entire apartment.
The blue color of her dress shimmered under the lights.
Sebastian squinted as he tried to make out the details.
