Chapter 14 The Spokesperson

Raine?

Nancy knew Raine was quite popular for showcasing her luxurious lifestyle on social media. Raine was a skilled pianist with a solid fan base, and her influence was almost like that of a minor celebrity.

Even soDuran Corporation had no reason to choose Raine as their spokesperson.

Nancy immediately called Hannahwho quickly looked into it and replied, “After looking into it, I found out that Raine and Rebecca are close friends. The endorsement fee was quite highso it was probably Rebecca’s idea.”

“Call it off instantly,” Nancy ordered icily.

Putting aside her personal dislike for Raine, Nancy knew that with Raine’s character, hiring her as their spokesperson would bring disaster to their brand down the line.

“Got it, Ms. Moore.”

After ending the call, Nancy continued working. She then decided to check out the physical stores.

Nancy checked out a few nearby physical stores before she suddenly spotted a familiar restaurant in a shopping mall.

This restaurant serving Jablonski cuisine was pretty popular in Boraska.

After a brief hesitationshe decided to call Gideon.

Do you want to have dinner together?” she asked.

“Ms Moore, are you always this spontaneous when asking others out?” Gideon’s deep, magnetic voice came from the other end of the line, and it was tinged with joy.

Feeling slightly awkward, Nancy explained, “I happened to come across a good restaurant, so I wanted to see if you were free. If not, we can always go another time.”

“I’m free. Send me the address. Wait for me there,” Gideon replied decisively.

Gideon soon ended the call, a cigarette dangling from his fingers. After overhearing the conversation, the man sitting across from him, Skylar Gibson, couldn’t help but ask, “Hey, didn’t we agree to hit the club tonight?”

Gideon gently snuffed out the cigarette. “I’m not a bachelor like you. You can hit the club yourself.”

“What? You have a girlfriend now?” Skylar exclaimed in disbelief. “Who could possibly put up with your terrible temper?”

“She’s not my girlfriend yet. Right, do teach me some ways to win a girl over,” Gideon said.

Skylar chuckled. “You’ve come to the right person. To win a girl’s heart, you must be funny! Make her happy when she’s with fall for you.”

you,

and she’ll eventually

Suddenly, something occurred to Skylar. Wait, you were talking to a ‘Ms. Moore‘ on the phone. Don’t tell me it’s her? Are you nuts? If Ian finds out you’re after his daughter, he’ll come storming over from Boraska!”

Gideon’s sensual lips curled into a slight smile, his tone casual yet dripping with aristocratic charm and a hint of rebellion. “Ian can’t control who his daughter is friends with.”

Skylar’s lips twitched. “I don’t think so.”

Gideon shot him a look. “I heard Hillary’s pretty close with a male celebrity recently.”

Skylar’s smile faded, and he sneered, “What does that have to do with me?”

A few seconds laterhe got to his feet. “Something carne up, so I need to go.”

At Moonlight Restaurant, when the manager mentioned there was an extra charge for the private room, Nancy paid for it without hesitation.

Money had always been a string of numbers to her.

Getting bored waiting for Gideon, she went to the garden to enjoy the scenery.

The garden of the upscale restaurant was beautifully decorated in Jablonski style.

Tonight, just eat your fill! Forget all your worries!”

Suddenly, a familiar voice came from behind.

Deep down, Nancy was cursing her bad luck for running into her enemies herebut she didn’t look back and continued enjoying the scenery. Raine was smiling at Fergus when she suddenly spotted the tall, gorgeous figure not far away. Rubbing her eyes, she exclaimed, “Isn’t that… Nancy?” Fergus‘ expression darkened when he saw Nancy. He mocked, “Why are you everywhere? You’re so vaincoming to check every fancy restaurant in town!

Raine gave Fergus a light tug and said softly, “Stop it, Fergie. Nancy grew up in the countrysideso it’s perfectly normal that she’s curious about these things.”

After saying thatshe walked toward NancyHer voice was gentle, but her gaze was full of contempt. “Nancy, are you planning on taking photos to post on social media? Fergie is treating me to dinner today. Why don’t you join us?”
