Chapter 166

Sebastian scrolled quickly through the forum pages, his brow furrowing tighter with each one. His chest felt heavy. Years ago, he’d had people try to clean up the gossip, but there was no way to shut everyone up.

He grabbed his phone and called the PR department at Grant Group.

The PR manager, Jonas Watkins, replied, Understood, Mr. Grant. We can have everything taken down within three days.”

Sebastian exhaled, his voice hoarse as he insisted, I said now. As in, immediately.”

Yes, Mr. Grant.”

Grant Group’s PR team got to work immediately. Upon hearing Sebastian’s serious tone, they didn’t dare waste any time.

By the time he had finished two cigarettes and refreshed the page, the thread was gone.

It was a temporary fix, but it was all he could do at the moment.

Jane was a wall between him and Valeria, breaking whatever balance they had managed to keep. He could admit his fault in saying Jane’s name when he was drunk. That didn’t mean he was going to grovel over and over for the same mistake, though. There was still pride in him.

The fight had ended badly, and both of them walked away angry.

He went to Valeria’s Instagram and saw that there was almost nothing there.

If she wanted him to swallow his pride and apologize again, she would have to give him something to work withsome sign she would meet him halfway.

With the irritation still sitting in his chest, Sebastian took Nemo and headed to the Grant

residence at noon.

Nemo’s goofy face instantly won over Martha, who fussed over him and ordered Avery to prepare fresh meat for Nemo’s food.

Sebastian noticed the stack of papers in her hand. He asked without thinking, What is that?”

Sitting on the couch reviewing the financial reports, Nicholas snorted. You came home at the right time. You should talk some sense into your mom. She’s lost her mind.”

Marthe ignored Nicholas, setting the short drama script aside and calling into the kitchen to get lunch started. She hadn’t seen Sebastian in days and didn’t want to scare him off by bringing up the matchmaking again, so she stuck to casual family talk.

Chapter 166

She mentioned Gabriella. Alexander and Gabriella’s flight is the day after tomorrow, she

said.

Sebastian nodded as he walked up the stairs.

The tour’s this Saturday. I’ve got your tickets. I don’t care how busy you are, you’re going. It’s her last show of the year, and we’re family. You can’t miss it.”

Got it.”

As he walked up, she told Avery, “Leo and Selena have gotten close. Send that little girl and her mother two tickets. I really adore that girl.”

Sebastian chimed in, She can’t make it. She just had heart surgery and is recovering at home.”

Oh, I had no idea. How did I not know earlier?Martha was about to say more, but he had already gone upstairs and disappeared from sight.

She immediately told Avery to prepare some supplements for Selena, planning to visit them in

the afternoon.

Nicholas pinched the bridge of his nose and suddenly glanced at the chubby dog lying by the couch. Then, he said to Martha, This dog looks just like Sebastian. It could be his kid. You

should take its fur and get a DNA test done.”

Martha shot him a look. She knew Nicholas was teasing her again for secretly plucking a

strand of Selena’s hair.

And he wouldn’t stop bringing it up.

She then turned to Avery, instructing, Go speak to Mike and have him set me up with a role. My next part is going to be an older divorced lady who suddenly hits the jackpot and rises to the top. Ideally, in the first episode, my exhusband’s out begging on the street, crying his

eyes out.”

Avery, well used to their bickering, held Martha’s hand and replied, “Alright, alright, I’ll get in touch with Mr. Coleman right away.”

Nicholas didn’t bother responding.

Sebastian went to the study upstairs. He rarely came here. In the corner of the study was a cardboard box from seven years ago. It was a package sent by Jane, and it was still there.

He opened the box and stared at the stuff inside, feeling his chest tighten. He then told the

maid to discard all of it.

The maid was surprised. All of it?”

Yeah.He nodded impatiently.
