“Given her condition, I’d estimate she’s lost at least twenty years of memories.
“Try taking her to the places you used to frequent and doing the things you always did together. This can help stimu- late her memory.”
Places they used to frequent?
They frequented the courthouse to file for a divorce.
Things they always did together?
They constantly fought and smashed things.
Suddenly, Declan felt that perhaps Cordelia never recovering her memories wasn’t such a bad thing after all.
After getting the prescribed medication, he carefully replaced all the packaging with that of vitamin supplements.
Only then did he walk out of the doctor’s consultation office.
Cordelia asked, “Well? What did the doctor say? Is that medication in your hand?”
He looked down. “The doctor said your body lacks vitamins and nutrition, which is causing your headaches. He pre- scribed these supplements and stressed that you must take them on time, every day.”
She nodded and then sighed.
Conrad was diagnosed with autism. The doctor warned that without timely intervention, his condition could worsen.
Additionally, Elton’s muteness was not innate.
Instead, it was the result of a traumatic shock in his childhood that had caused him to shut down.
The weight of it all hit her suddenly,
Every one of her children was a handful.
After managing Darrell’s situation, she would have to urge Declan to work with her to address Conrad’s therapy and Elton’s condition.
After the check–up, the family of four was about to leave the hospital.
Just then, a soft woman’s voice called out behind them.
“What a nice coincidence, Declan. I’m so surprised to see you here.”
Cordelia turned to find Belinda standing there with a bright smile.

Chapter 13
At the sight of her, Belinda said hello with obvious reluctance,
Then Belinda eagerly turned her attention back to Declan.

“Declan, thank you so much for recommending that doctor to me. I’ve been feeling much better since the treatment.”
Watching from the side, Cordelia curled her lip.
A thought sprang into her mind.
This so–called family check–up day was probably just a pretext.
The real reason Declan had brought them here was probably to see Belinda.
Instantly seething with rage, she turned to leave in a huff.
Noticing this, Declan brushed Belinda off perfunctorily and caught up with her.
“What are you so angry about?” he asked, puzzled.
“I’m not mad,” Cordelia said, but her frown and sharp breaths said otherwise.
She looked like she might punch something just to let off steam.
Declan stayed quiet, his intense gaze on her until she snapped out of it.
“I just don’t want to be the third wheel.
“If you don’t want to come home with me, then go with Belinda. You chased her all the way to the hospital, didn’t you?” she said.
Declan blinked, puzzled.
Third wheel?
Why would he want to go with Belinda?
He’d never chased her at all.
None of it made sense. Then he remembered what the doctor had said.
Cordelia’s head trauma could cause memory lapses, confusion, and even language issues.
Looking at her now, Declan figured this was one of those moments.
Explaining wouldn’t help.
So he just gave up and got out of the car.
Cordelia watched him walk off.
“He really is going back to Belinda. Jerk!” she cursed under her breath.

If that was the plan, he should’ve left earlier instead of pretending he barely knew Belinda
Declan walked up to the chauffeur.
“We’ve got something to deal with. Take the boys home first.”
Elton gaped at Declan, confused, while Conrad stayed crouched, completely unfazed.
Declan then knelt, spoke gently to the boys, and got them into the car. He watched it drive away, then headed back to his Rolls–Royce Cullinan.
Right away, he noticed his dashboard figurine torn to pieces.
Cordelia sat there, cheeks puffed out like an angry pufferfish.
“What?” she snapped. “Why are you back? I thought you were off to Belinda.”
Declan had no idea why she kept bringing up Belinda.
He sighed. “Why would I do that?”
“Why did you get out of the car?”
He started the engine. “To let the boys go home first. We’re going shopping.”
Only then did Cordelia notice he was still in yesterday’s clothes.
Now she remembered he didn’t have a single thing left in the villa.
“Right. You moved all your stuff out. Of course, you need new ones.”
Declan glanced at her, his lips pressed into a hard line.
A while later, they pulled up to Wingcaster’s biggest mall.
The place was packed, but the mall manager was already waiting, ready to escort them through the VIP entrance into a luxury boutique.
As soon as they sat down, racks of clothes were wheeled out in front of them.
“Mr. and Mrs. Beasley, these are all this season’s new arrivals. Take your time.”
