Carter’s tone turned sharp. His words dripped with disdain.
“Even if I really were to hire someone, it wouldn’t be the likes of you. You’re not worthy.”
The three women stiffened. They, too, came from prominent families, with pride of their own.
The heiress snapped back, “Mr. Biggs, we know you wield enormous power and look down on people like us.
Naturally, we could never aspire to someone of your standing. But if you hadn’t used our families to pressure us
back then, do you think we would ever have agreed to commit such vile and shameful acts?
“Now that everything has been exposed, you want to wash your hands of it and leave us to take the fall. If we
were so beneath you, then why involve us in the first place?”
The female CEO added, turning to Sharon.
“Not long ago, Mr. Biggs came to us. He said he’d had a misunderstanding with you, Sharon, one that led to divorce. He claimed you two shared a child, and he wanted to give that child a complete family.
“But you had a man at your side a scheming pretty boy who used his looks to sow discord between you. That
was why Mr. Biggs asked us to spread false rumors online. The photos were all doctored by people he hired. As
for the videos, actors were chosen to mimic Thomas’s back and profile.’
The socialite stepped forward, her tone laced with bitterness.

“When Mr. Biggs first approached me, I refused. But he promised my family a lucrative deal if I agreed. At that
time, our finances were in crisis. Refusing him would have meant bankruptcy. I had no choice but to accept.
“And now? The scheme has unraveled, and Mr. Biggs pretends it has nothing to do with him. Clearly, he never
intended to keep his promise. Since that’s the case, I have nothing left to hold back.”
The three women, emboldened by anger, turned on Carter together, united in their defiance.
Carter laughed in disbelief, his voice edged with fury.
“Who sent you to slander me? Was it him?” He jerked his chin toward Thomas. “Or was it Xavier?”
Sharon’s brows knitted tightly.
“Carter,
these three women claim you directed them. And now you’re flinging accusations at others? Xavier has

Carter sneered, his tone mocking.

Sharon stared at him, exasperated.
“Carter, with your identity and standing in Amstern City, who would dare frame you without your orders?”
The three women nodded in unison.
“Exactly. Even if we were reckless with our own lives, our families wouldn’t risk theirs!”
Carter opened his mouth, but for a moment, no words came. He felt the suffocating frustration of a man wrongly accused, yet unable to defend himself.
He forced himself to be calm, fixing the three women with a stare.
“Since you insist I ordered you, then answer me this. Where did I supposedly give those instructions? How exactly did I contact you?
“When were these forged materials handed over to you? Do you have call logs, chat records? You say I promised you benefits. Where’s the proof of any transaction?”
The CEO was the first to respond. Her face betrayed no trace of panic.
“Mr. Biggs didn’t meet me in person. He sent his assistant to negotiate.’
