Alicia was in the kitchen making breakfast when May came to join her.
“Good morning.” She greeted and Alicia replied with a smile.
“Anything I can help you with?” May asked.
“Nah, I’m almost done here, hope you’re feeling better now and is Diane up yet? Today’s friday and I need to drop her off at school early.”
“I’m good and yeah she’s up, I already got her ready.” May replied. “And one more thing Alicia.”
Alicia left what she was doing and turned to her since May sounded quite serious.
“Diane told me what happened yesterday, you really did tell her that her father is dead.”
Alicia groaned. “Please May, let’s not talk about this now, I’ve really got to get things ready and for your information, I don’t regret telling her that, after all, I do consider that man dead to us and I wouldn’t want my daughter having anything to do with him either, they don’t deserve a place in my daughter’s life and they won’t be getting any.”
“I wasn’t planning on saying anything since you’ve made up your mind already, you’re her mother and I trust you to know and do what’s best for her, that’s just it, but one thing I can tell you is that the information did make her sad, really sad.”

May wanted to ask her what would happen if Diane eventually gets to find out who her father truly is in future? What would happen if she finds out her father isn’t dead? But then she decides to not say anything as she wouldn’t want to upset Alicia in
anyway.
“I want to go check up on Diane, do you need me to do anything for you?” May asked.
“I’m good, and I’m almost done here anyways, you two go get ready, time isn’t on our side.”
May hugged Alicia briefly, she then thanked her for being there for her yesterday before leaving.

Mike arrived at work really early, and it’s all because he wants to clear things up with May, he couldn’t even get a goodnight sleep all because he kept on thinking about her and if he doesn’t resolve the issue between them as soon as possible, he might actually end up loosing his mind.
He checked his wrist watch once more and saw it’s almost time for her to arrive at the company, he heaved a deep breath and rubbed his palms together, the weather isn’t even chilly, but yet he’s feeling so cold and nervous.
“You got this Mike! You got this!” He tried motivating himself, hoping it’ll help to relieve some of the stress he was feeling at the moment, but sadly it wasn’t working.
He didn’t even have much time to prepare some more because then he saw May walking towards the company.
Mike heaved a deep breath before running towards her.
Meanwhile, May who already saw him approaching her couldn’t help but groan internally in complete frustration, she doesn’t feel like talking to him and just want him to stay the hell away from her. But if she was actually being truthful to herself, she thinks that maybe she might have overreacted a little bit, but her damn pride won’t let her admit the truth, she also couldn’t tell if she’s ever going to be able to forget about her past, no matter how hard she tried, those memories are always there, and that’s the reason she reacted the way she did with Mike.
Mike finally got to her and stood right in front of her but she moved the other way instead, yet he blocked her path again.

May adjusted her bag on her shoulder, then she folds her hands across her chest and frowned deeply. “I thought I asked you to stay away from me, what the hell do you want now Mike!? Can’t you just leave me alone and focus on your own life!” She turned.
She noticed the bruise on his left eye, it’s healing but still visible, even though she felt the urge to ask what happened, she wouldn’t even dare it because at this point, she’s trying to get rid of him and not close to him.
“I get you’re still mad at me and that’s the reason I can’t let you be, I’m truly sorry for my actions the other day, I have no right to tell you who to see and who to not see, so please forgive me if I made you upset, I really didn’t mean it like that and I don’t even know what came over me, so….” He trailed to catch his breath. “Please forgive me May, I’m truly sorry, all I need right now is your forgiveness, that’s enough for me.”
May looked at him for sometime, then she sighed. “Fine, I forgive you, just please don’t ever do that again, who I move with is absolutely none of your business and you have no right to question what I do or who I see.”
“I totally get it, it’ll never ever happen again, you can trust me.” Mike replied with a bright smile on his face.
The kind of joy he’s feeling at the moment is something he’s never felt before, funny how this woman in front of him could unknowingly bring him so much joy and happiness, there’s no doubt that he’s slowly falling head over heels in love with her, but this is something he wouldn’t even dare to tell her yet, otherwise she might actually chop his head off.
“So, can I go now? You’re still standing in my way.” May said, trying to hide her own smile, she just finds him funny sometimes.
“Err…before that, can I please ask you for

“What’s it?” She replied and Mike wasted no time in telling her what he wants.
“Would you like to go on a date with me? Imp
just to show that you’re no longer upset with me, it’ll really mean so much to
me if you say yes.”
“Why?” May asked.

“Why would it mean so much to you if I

Mike scratched the back of his head nervously. “Because you’re beautiful and it’ll be nice to take a beautiful lady like you out on a
date.”
May couldn’t hold back her laughter this time, and so she just let it out. “That’s a good one Mike.” She replied before walking
away.
Mike sharply turned around. “Is that a yes?” He yelled, bubbling with excitement.
May turned around. “Maybe.” She shrugged, her smile not leaving her lips.
She shook her head before walking away.
“Yes!” Mike celebrated. “I’ve got a date.”
