Chapter 25 

The first place Adams went to was Alicia’s house and he wasn’t even aware that Bianca was following him. He hurriedly came down from his car and rushed to her doorstep, he rang the doorbell twice but no one came to answer it. 

Adams was starting to get a bit frustrated but he wasn’t going to give up, he remembered the information Mike sent to him about the publishing company Alicia works with, he immediately brought out his phone from his pocket and searched for it, when he saw the name of the company, he sighed in relief, he went rushed back to his car and drove off immediately, still not 

aware of the fact that Bianca was still following him. 

When Adams arrived at Golden publishing he stayed in his car for a little while to catch his breath, he was about coming out of his car when he saw Alicia coming out of the company with a man, the man looked so familiar and as he stared at the man for sometime he finally realized who the man was. 

The man standing with Alicia was Ashton Kutcher, the CEO of Babel and Adams rival, while Carter Legacy Enterprises was ranking top 1 in the business industry, Babel was ranking top 2, something Ashton wasn’t pleased about, so he’s been doing everything possible to make sure Adams was taken out of the business world, leaving his company ranking top 1 and the best in the world. He and Adams never get along, in fact, he’s literally Adams biggest rival in the business world. 

“What’s Alicia doing with that man?” Adams muttered to himself as his grip on the steering wheel tightened. 

He impatiently sat in his car watching the two of them talk and when he lost his cool was when Ashton hugged Alicia, he expected her to do the opposite but she hugged him back instead and she even had a huge bright smile on her face. Adams tried his best to control himself but seeing Ashton’s hands wrapped around Alicia’s waist and she hugging him back too 

made him loose that control. 

He angrily got out of his car and walked towards them, but before he could get to them, Bianca showed up from nowhere and stood before him, blocking his path. 

Adams was surprised to see her there, but then that only means that she’s been following him all this while. “Get out of my way Bianca, don’t make me do something I won’t regret.” He warned furiously. 

“Don’t you see the truth Adams, your ex wife has moved on so why won’t you just do the same, she’s with someone else now and it’s obvious from the way she’s shamelessly hugging that man in public so don’t go there and embarrass yourself.” 

*And who do you think you are to give me advice or tell me what to do huh?” Adams questioned. 

Before Bianca could reply, they both heard the sound of a car being turned on and the both of them turned around just in time 

to see Ashton driving away. 

Alicia waited until she could no longer see Ashton’s car before attempting to go back inside the company, but just as she made to turn around, she saw Adams and an unknown woman standing beside him, Alicia furrowed her brow as she wondered what Adams was doing there and who the woman standing beside him was. 

Meanwhile Bianca didn’t like the way the two was staring at each other so she decides to do something so unreasonable and she didn’t care about what Adams was going to do to her, at this point she couldn’t care less because she wants to show Alicia who Adams truly belongs to. 

She stood in front of him once more and without thinking twice about it, she kissed Adams. 

Adams eyes opened wide in shock, he wasn’t expecting this and for a little while he stood there frozen, not being able to do anything until he suddenly came back to his senses and pushed Bianca away 

But then Alicia who saw what happened had already left before he could even get back to his senses, his eyes scanned the 

area for her but there was no sight of her anywhere 

All his life, Adams has never raised his hands to a woman, but this time, he was so furious that he couldn’t even think straight and in anger he slapped Bianca hard 

“Why would you do that!?” He thundered.

+25 BONUS 

Bianca’s eyes was opened wide in shock, her right hand was on her cheek where Adams had slapped her and she stared at him in shock as she never expected him to slap her. 

Adams didn’t even have the time to stay and teach her a lesson, all he wants is to talk to Alicia and now due to Bianca’s 

stupid act, he doubts she’s going to want to listen to anything he says to her. 

Mike who arrived just in time to see Bianca kiss Adams saw the look on Alicia’s face before she went inside the company, he also wasn’t expecting Bianca to do what she did, her actions will definitely cost Adams a lot, so when Adams rushed into the company he hurriedly went to meet Bianca, grabbed her hand and dragged her away from there. 

Bianca kept on asking him who he was and telling him to let her go but all her words fell on deaf ears, he took her to his car and forced her to get in, he also got in and drove off immediately. 

Meanwhile Adams was trying to gain access to Alicia, but the securities didn’t let him in, he did all he could to make them grant him permission to see her but nothing worked, they kept on asking him to leave instead. Apparently, Alicia has asked 

them not to let him in because she didn’t want to see or speak to him. 

But despite all this, Adams wasn’t going to give up, he was going to see Alicia at any cost, he went outside and got into his 

car, he was going to wait until she comes out, then he’s going to speak to her. 

The image of Bianca’s lips on his flashed through his mind once more and he punched the steering wheel in rage, he just 

didn’t know what to do about that woman, she’s starting to ruin everything for him. 

“Damn it!” He cursed.
