Chapter 95

Could Elena actually be related to the Miller family?

Hold on! The Millers had a mysterious heiress who had never been seen in public. Could it be…

But how could that be possible?

Nadine quickly shot down her speculations.

If Elena truly was the heiress of the Miller family, she would have acted all high and mighty. But she had always been humble, and she had even given her all to Riggs Group.

“Let’s not talk about that now, Nadi. Hurry up and contact Mrs. Miller Senior,” Justin urged. “I don’t know why the Miller family is suddenly fighting for that piece of land when it was practically Riggs Group’s. Since you’re so close to her, tell them about our relationship. Maybe they’ll stop out of respect for you.”

A clap of thunder suddenly rang out, and raindrops started hammering on the floor-to-ceiling window.

Nadine’s face turned ashen.

“I-I-” she uttered.

She slowly took out her phone. She truly had no clue what excuse she could make anymore. With no

other option left, she rolled her eyes back and fainted.

“Nadi! Are you alright?” Justin shouted.

At night, Samuel called Elena to the study. The ticking of the grandfather clock sounded very clear in the quiet study. The lights from the table lamp cast Samuel’s long shadow against the wooden bookshelf.

Elena sat on the couch, looking at Samuel’s gray sideburns, and she couldn’t help but grip the hem of her

dress tightly.

“Lena, come with me to the office tomorrow,” said Samuel, cutting straight to the chase. “You’re the

heiress of this family and will inherit Miller Group. Since you’re back in Hupolis, it’s time for you to join the

company and learn the ropes. You should get familiar with all the businesses under the company as soon

as possible as well.”

“Alright, Dad.” Elena nodded.

Samuel looked at her, feeling sorry for her. “Lena, in the past five years you spent at that jerk’s company-”

He swallowed the words at the tip of his tongue. He didn’t wish to bring up the past, but he couldn’t stop himself from thinking about how much injustice his one and only daughter had suffered in the past five

years.

Elena’s smile stiffened for a moment as memories of the past came rushing back to her.

She had spent entire nights working until dawn broke.

She had drunk so much with clients that her stomach bled just to close a deal.

And the despair she felt when she found out the truth…

She suppressed her emotions and shook her head. “It’s fine. Those experiences were part of my growth

as well.”

“Growth?” Samuel clearly disagreed.

How could he not know his own daughter? Elena’s talents in business had already started to show when she had been just 15 years old. He had thought that she would help him run Miller Group after she graduated from college. He had never expected that she would be blinded by Justin.

But had that bastard ever cared about everything she had done for him?

Samuel clenched his fists tightly.

Snatching just a piece of land from Justin wasn’t nearly enough. Samuel wondered if Justin was ready for

what was to come.

“Oh, yes! Dad, I wanted to ask you about something,” said Elena.
