Chapter 94

That “E” stood for Elena, did it not?

“Zachary…” Justin’s eyebrows were tightly furrowed, his tone icy. “Is he Alexander’s cousin?”

“Yes, and he’s a genius painter,” Nadine said in a strange tone. “I heard he values this exhibition very much. Both local and international artists are holding his exhibition in high regard as well. I didn’t think he

would use a painting of Elena’s profile as the teaser poster.”

Justin said nothing, locking his gaze on the phone screen.

Since when was Elena acquainted with Zachary? What was their relationship? Justin had never heard her

mention Zachary before.

“Jus, Elena left Slushire so suddenly. Could she have gone to Hupolis to look for Zachary?” Nadine’s

excitement grew the more she spoke. “By the looks of it, the person she’s in a relationship with isn’t Alexander but this genius painter instead!”

“Enough!” Justin barked icily. “Stop spewing nonsense.”

Nadine pursed her lips and said, “The facts are right there. How am I spewing nonsense? If Elena has nothing to do with Zachary, why would he put her profile on such an important poster?”

Justin loosened his tie in annoyance.

“Jus, at this point, are you still going to be hung up on Elena?” Nadine asked.

“Nadi!” Justin barked a warning. “I’ve told you that Lena is my wife. I’m really mad that she went overboard this time, but I know her feelings for me very well. She can’t possibly bear to leave me.”

“You-”

Nadine almost lost her temper. She thought she would see Justin flying into a rage, cursing at Elena. She had never thought that he would actually say such things instead.

She couldn’t tell if he truly trusted Elena that much or if he was just overconfident.

A glint flashed in Justin’s eyes. He thought of the fact that he was going to take Nadine to Hupolis soon, and his tone suddenly softened.

Pulling her in and making her sit on his lap, he said alluringly, “Alright. Why are you jealous of her? No matter that, I’m right here by your side right now. Isn’t that right? Nadi, you have to trust me. No matter what happens, you’ll always hold a highly important place in my heart.”

Nadine tensed in his embrace, digging her nails deep into her palms.

Justin’s warm breath brushed against her ear, bewitching her. But she knew what he had in mind.

She put on a forced smile and stroked the pattern on Justin’s suit subconsciously as she said, “You’re

right, Jus. I shouldn’t let my thoughts run wild. Still, maybe we’ll bump into Elena after we go to Hupolis?”

Before Justin said anything, his phone rang.

Justin held Nadine’s hand with one hand and answered the call with the other. “What’s the matter?” he

asked.

The person on the other end of the call said something, and Justin’s face fell. “What did you say? How is that possible?” he barked.

Nadine was startled. Looking up, she saw that Justin’s face had darkened terribly. His flirtatious demeanor from earlier had long vanished.

After he ended the call, Nadine asked carefully, “Jus, what happened?”

“There’s a very important piece of land in the newly developed area. It was already a sure thing for me, but Miller Group suddenly wanted to get involved as well,” said Justin. The air around him was suffocating.

Nadine’s voice was tense as she asked, “Why would such a thing happen? Why would Miller Group… Hold on. Could Elena be behind this? Jus, don’t forget that one of her relatives is a top executive at Miller Group!”

Justin didn’t agree with Nadine. “But Mr. Pittman is in charge of the branch in Slushire, and the person

who made the move is from Hupolis.

“Besides, no matter how high his position is, he’s just one of the chairman’s subordinates; he’s not really a member of the Miller family. Would the Millers outright target Riggs Group for him?”

He paused before he added, “Also, Lena wouldn’t target me like this.”

Nadine was so angry that she almost laughed. And right at that moment, a terrifying thought flashed in

her head.
