Harriet looked up at Kelsey, who smiled again and explained, 

“Rushtar Group now has quite a few tech cooperation projects 

and wants to develop its own tech brand. So I’d like to offer you 

double the salary of Galaxy Innovations to join Rushtar Group, 

and I hope…” 

Before Kelsey could finish, Harriet interrupted her: “No need, I’m 

doing well at Galaxy Innovations, and I have a contract with 

them. With that salary, you should be able to find someone 

more suitable.” 

She had already left the Townsend Group, so there was no way 

she would go to Rushtar Group. 

Harriet didn’t even think about it and directly refused Kelsey.

hospital, she was discharged. 

She left the hospital on crutches. 

Kathie came to pick her up and accompanied her home. 

Ellsworth, meanwhile, was away on a business trip. 

After resting at home for a day, Harriet went back to work. 

Sometimes Kathie drove her, sometimes she took a ride–hailing 

car herself, then went up and down the stairs on crutches. 

Although her mobility was limited, she could still manage her daily life.

After returning to work, she needed to submit the first phase product tracking report. Harriet had her mother–in–law and another tracking user fill out the forms, collected their feedback and signatures, and only Vicente was left to contact. 

At her desk, after dialing Vicente’s number, Harriet politely said, “Mr. Leach, this is Harriet from Galaxy Innovations. I need to submit the first phase product tracking report. When would it be convenient for you for me to come by for your signature and 

to record some feedback?” 

Even though she had met Vicente several times, Harriet still 

remained very polite. 

On the other end of the line, Vicente replied warmly, “Ms. 

Chavez, I have time now. Since it’s inconvenient for you with 

your injury, I’ll have my driver pick you up.” 

Harriet said, “That’s not necessary, I…” 

Before Harriet could finish, Vicente interrupted her with a smile: 

“Ms. Chavez, no need to be polite. The driver will contact you 

when he arrives. See you soon.” 

Harriet replied, “Alright, then I won’t stand on ceremony with 

you, Mr. Leach. Thank you, Mr. Leach.”

With Vicente arranging for someone to pick her up, Harriet 

waited at the company. 

Soon after, she received a call from Vicente’s driver, and Harriet 

went downstairs on her crutches. 

When she got downstairs, the driver quickly came over to help 

her and opened the car door for her. 

Half an hour later, the car arrived at the municipal office 

building. Harriet got out and, led by the driver, headed to 

Vicente’s office. 

When the office door was knocked open, Vicente quickly stood 

up from his desk to greet her with a smile: “Ms. Chavez, I’m 

really sorry to make you come all this way when your leg is 

injured.” 

As he spoke, Vicente went over to support Harriet. 

Entering on her crutch, Harriet said, “It’s alright, the crutch 

makes it quite convenient.” 

After Harriet entered the office, the driver quietly closed the 

door and left. 

After Harriet sat down on the sofa, Vicente poured her a cup of

Each sitting on a sofa, Harriet took out the survey form and a 

pen from her bag and said to Vicente, “Mr. Leach, I need you to 

fill out and sign this survey form. Any other feedback, I’ll record 

separately.” 

Taking the survey form from Harriet, Vicente read it carefully, 

then bent over the coffee table to fill it out. 

Normally, Vicente was polite, but no one else who came to him 

for business ever received such treatment–having him bend 

over the coffee table to fill out a form. 

After completing Harriet’s tracking form, Vicente also gave 

several suggestions for the product and user needs. 

Vicente spoke earnestly, and Harriet took notes just as 

seriously. 

As they were discussing the product robot, the office door was 

suddenly knocked. 

Harriet looked up and saw a young man in a proper white shirt and black suit pants standing at the door, asking Vicente, “Mr. Leach, do you need me to get your lunch today?”
