and coolly asked, “Did I say these were for you?” 

Julian’s actions left her puzzled. Without another word, he turned and went to the cashier.

Left speechless, she could only pick another flavor. But just as she got one in hand, his voice cut in coldly 

again. 

“How can you eat this with your stomach issues? If you end up back in the hospital, don’t expect anyone 

to take care of you.” 

Julian didn’t even look at Rosalie. He simply paid for his mac and cheese and walked away. 

She hesitated with the mac and cheese in hand, then put them back and decided to go home and cook instead. At the counter, the cashier leaned forward, eyes sparkling with gossip. “Miss, who was that handsome guy just now? Is he your boyfriend?” 

“Neighbour,” Rosalie evenly replied. 

“Wow, even your neighbour looks better than celebrities on TV!” the girl gushed enviously, then lowered her voice. “But I think I saw blisters on his arm. It looked like he got burned. Poor thing… I wonder what 

kind of job he has…” 

Rosalie froze for a second. On her way out, she bought some iodine, cotton swabs, and burn ointment. 

Back home, she quickly cooked two simple dishes. After eating just a few bites, she packed the rest into 

a thermal lunch box. 

Then, she grabbed the bag of medicine and went upstairs to knock on his door.
