Chapter 33 Who Was She Hugging Earlier?
When Rosalie threw herself into his arms, Julian immediately froze. In his peripherals, he saw a couple stepping out of the Maybach.
Raising an eyebrow, he let go of the luggage’s handle and wrapped an arm around her waist. He didn’t exactly use a lot of force, but it was enough to press her body tightly against his.
Rosalie could feel the hard lines of Julian’s muscles underneath the fabric, and she blushed at once.
Lucian was taking luggage out of the Maybach’s trunk when someone gently held his arm.
“Lucian, that lady looks like Rosalie from here.”
He followed her gaze and looked over. One glance, and he turned his gaze away coldly.
“It’s not her.”
No one knew Rosalie more than he did. He knew everything there was to know about her, including her fashion style and little habits.
She loved outfits in pink, green, and white shades. Even her luggage was pinkish as well. She would never wear an all-black outfit and pair it with black luggage.
More to the point, Rosalie was madly in love with him. There was no way she would embrace another man so intimately. In public, no less.
Some random lady merely happened to look like her from the back. That was all there was to it.
Pushing the thought aside, Lucian held Camelia’s hand and led her to the elevator.
When the elevator doors slid closed, Rosalie immediately pulled away from Julian.
“Sorry. I ran into some people I knew.”
Once Rosalie slipped from Julian’s arms, her soft touch and aromatic scent disappeared at once. His gaze couldn’t help but darken a little.
He nodded, letting her know that he wasn’t bothered by it. He gave her the luggage’s handle.
“Take care of yourself and come back soon. I’m tired of instant mac and cheese.”
Rosalie was immediately stunned. Then, realization struck her. This explained why he offered to take her to the airport. He was looking for an easy way to get on her good side.
Smart move.
Rosalie pulled her luggage into the elevator.
Julian stood motionless. He raised his hand, the soft warmth lingering on his hand. Lowering his head, he brought his fingers together and rubbed them.

He murmured, “Her waist was so slender that I could’ve snapped it like a twig.”
Julian clicked his tongue, turned around, and stepped back into the car.
The airport was packed with people. Rosalie passed security and stopped by a coffee shop.
She instinctively said to the staff, “Two milks, please.”
Rosalie didn’t realize what was happening until she was holding two cups of milk in her hand. She was alone. Why did she order two?
Her eyebrows knitted tightly as she let out a self-derisive chuckle. She still retained the habit from her past life, placing the order without thinking.
Even so, Rosalie still took the two cups of milk and made her way to the VIP lounge. The moment she opened the door, her foot froze for a while.
Lucian and Camelia were sitting next to each other on the couch, chatting away merrily.
Rosalie ignored them, turned around, and walked to the corner. However, he immediately spotted her when he raised his head. His expression changed at once.
Camelia looked over and was equally surprised. “Is that Rosalie? So, that was her in the parking lot?”
Lucian rose to his feet and made his way to Rosalie. “Who were you hugging in the parking lot earlier?”
Rosalie slowly looked up at him. “What does it concern you?”
Lucian glanced at the two cups of warm milk on the table, and his breathing faltered for a second.
It was the same habit of hers. In the past life, Rosalie insisted on following Lucian to every work trip he
went on.
She kept saying that the food and drinks in the lounge weren’t healthy and were bad for trying to conceive. So, she would buy two cups of warm milk and make him drink it with her.
At that moment, the two cups of milk seemed to serve as a reminder that she had never moved on from
him. Her love for him was etched so deeply into her memories that it became second nature for her.
Lucian’s furrowed eyebrows loosened a little.
The airport was packed with people. It wasn’t impossible for someone with a similar appearance to be dressed the same way.
He asked in a softened tone, “Where are you going? Why didn’t you tell me about your trip?”
