Hearing Kelsey’s question, Ellsworth finally looked up again.
Looking at the face that was almost identical to Sylvia’s, seeing

overthinking it.”
Although they were twins and looked almost identical, their
personalities were very different.
Sylvia was humble, not showy, quiet, and gentle.
The first time he sat with her, the first time he talked to her, she
reminded him of Harriet, as if she was a bit like motherless

Ellsworth didn’t admit to disliking her, so Kelsey breathed a sigh

Later, while Kelsey was waiting for him, he told her that aside
from business help, he wouldn’t give the Graham family
anything else.
Kelsey smiled and said it didn’t matter, that she was already
satisfied if she could occasionally look after him for Sylvia, and
comfort him when he missed Sylvia.
Even though she had long hoped for his divorce.
But with Harriet’s push–and–pull tactics, if she pressed him too
hard about it, it would only push him toward Harriet.
She wouldn’t do something so foolish.
If Harriet could act, so could she.
After hearing this, Ellsworth said nothing more and simply
continued working.

Six o’clock.
After finishing her thoughts for the thesis, Harriet stretched and
took a break. Seeing that it was still early and the sun hadn’t
completely set, she tidied up, shut down her computer, and
drove back to the Chavez’s mansion to have dinner with her
grandfather.
When she got home, Ralph was playing chess in the living room
with the old man from next door.
Seeing Harriet return, Ralph quickly waved her over: “Hara,
come here! I’ve been losing to Luciano all afternoon. Hurry and help Grandpa win a few rounds back.”
“Grandpa, Luciano.” Harriet greeted them with a smile as she
put the fruit and pastries she brought on the table, then sat
down in Ralph’s seat.
However, the game Ralph and Luciano hadn’t finished was already a dead end for the black pieces, but Harriet managed to turn things around in just a few moves.
After a few more rounds, the old man from next door still
couldn’t beat Harriet. He stood up and said, “Hara, Luciano’s

brain is overworked today. Don’t go home tonight. Grandpa will
come challenge you again tomorrow. For now, I’ll go home for
dinner.”
Hearing this, Harriet quickly got up to see him off, smiling as
she said, “Alright, Luciano. I’ll wait for you to come over
tomorrow.”
After seeing the old man off, Deloris called the grandfather and
granddaughter to dinner.
At the dinner table, Deloris complained to Harriet, “Sir Chavez,
honestly! It’s just a game of chess. If you lose, you lose. Why
get so worked up? Your hand was shaking from anger.”
Ralph quickly defended himself, “I wasn’t angry. I just sat for
too long.”
Seeing this, Harriet served Ralph some food and said, “Don’t
play chess for too long in the future. You’re both getting older-
health is the most important thing.”
Hearing Harriet’s words, Ralph picked up his fork and looked at
her, saying, “It’s not a big deal for me. But you, Hara–you bought
a house without saying a word, moved out of Auburn Heights
without a word, and I had to hear about it from Raymond.”

Harriet smiled and explained, “I just wanted to have my own
space.”
“So what’s going on with you and Ells now? Living separately?
Not getting divorced anymore?”
“Ellsworth is already handling the property division. Let him take
care of it for now. In a few days, we can submit the application. We’ll talk about everything else after the paperwork is done.”
Since the assets were being divided, Ellsworth must have
decided to split up, just annoyed that she was the one who
brought up divorce first.
If she disappeared for a few days, once he calmed down, his
anger would subside.
After all, he still had to give Kelsey a proper status.
After talking about the property division at the Townsend’s
mansion, Ellsworth’s lawyer came to see her on Wednesday.
The property division procedures were already completed.
They brought Harriet’s property deed, share certificates, proof of fund transfers, trust fund documents, and other paperwork
for her to review.
