Abandoned Me 7

Abandoned Me 7

Chapter 7

After Ron and I got married, I followed him abroad to handle the arms shipment. As the time went by, we had feelings for each other and became a true couple.

Seven years later.

He and I returned to Taven for a business meeting.

I hadn’t expected to see the once-proud ex-fiancee here. He had lost a lot of weight and now he was nothing.

“Mr. Parker, give the Eaton Corporation’s a chance.”

“Mr. Lincoln, here’s Eaton Corporation’s proposal. Could you please take some time to review it?” His tall figure stood out in the crowd.

In the scorching summer sun, he worked tirelessly to secure deals for Eaton Corporation.

Sweat drenched his chest and back, but no one even looked at him.

Inadvertently, he caught sight of me sitting in the corner and jolted.

“Calista?”

He ran over excitedly and clutched my hand tightly, fearing I would disappear from his world again.

‘Calista, you’ve finally come back. I’ve been looking for you all these years.”

‘I’m sorry. I was such a jerk back then. I’m so sorry about what happened to Chris ….”

I coldly shook off his hand, with an undisguised disgust flashing in my eyes.

‘Please respect yourself, Nolthen. You have no right to mention my brother, or even to stand before me.”

Sensing my distance, he lowered his eyes in loneliness.

Then, he noticed a boy beside me, his voice incoherent with excitement.

‘Is this your son and mine?”

Zane said you had a miscarriage, but you even lied to the doctor.”

frowned, just about to refute.

My son and I were then embraced each other.

Ron’s lazy voice echoed from behind.

Nolthen, long time no see. What do you want to do with my wife and son?”

Your son? Are you really married?”

Nolthen was greatly surprised and unwilling to accept such a fact.

Seeing my son’s face – bore a striking resemblance to Ron, he clutched his head in agony growled. “Ron, I never thought you’d be the winner in the end.”

‘Calista, you actually became his wife. You know, he set a trap for you back then?”

unconsciously glanced at my husband, catching a fleeting flash of panic on his face. My heart skipped a beat and a sense of unease washed over me.

and

Ron, always so composed, was panicked.

After returning to the Rousselet Family’s manor and putting my son to sleep, I planned to have a long talk with him the whole night.

Though he vehemently denied it, his tense tone couldn’t conceal his inner panic.

“This isn’t what you think, Calista.”

In fact, I had been avoiding one question for years.

Why was Ron so nice to me?

He was the member of the Rousselet Family. He helped me save the Áaldorp Family for the sake

of the arms. We were even now.

No reason to fall in love with our sworn enemy.

“Calista, it’s actually me who brought down the Hills and I deliberately pushed Kaitlyn between you and Nolthen, to create a rift between you.”

My teeth were chattering.

A surge of anger rose in my heart.

“Why?”

He gave a bitter smile and tightly held onto my hand.

“To tell you the truth, I didn’t marry you just for the sake of weapons. I have admired you since was young. You should have been my fiancée. It was the Eaton who used a trick to get their hands on your weapons and set up a baby kiss with your family first.”

“Wifey, I haven’t touched the arsenal, really, I’m just trying to get you.”

silently stared at him, who was only cautious in front of me, with mixed emotions in my heart. Even though he appeared cold to the outside world, he was incredibly kind to me.
