When Romina returned, the man in blue was waiting for his medicine. As a new patient entered, she merely glanced at the man before turning her attention to the newcomer. 

“Hello, may I ask where you’re feeling unwell?” 

“Are you Ms. Sandoval? I’m Elly’s aunt. She told me to come see you.” 

Only then did Romina remember that a few days ago, Elliana had mentioned her aunt, Lexie Castro, might come for a consultation.

Lexie sat down in the consultation chair and explained her health condition to Romina.

Romina glanced at Miguel and smiled faintly. “Don’t tease.” 

Miguel looked at her with a smile, then suddenly leaned in a little closer, watching as she wrote the pre- scription.

This scene fell into a pair of shadowy eyes. 

After seeing Lexie off, Romina met that dark, intense gaze. 

Jericho was standing at the door, slowly approaching her. 

Romina only glanced at him before withdrawing her gaze. 

As Jericho entered, Miguel, who was standing at the cashier, instinctively called out, “Sir, are you here for a consultation?” 

Jericho turned his head subconsciously, looking in Miguel’s direction.

The man’s tone was cold. “Who sent the flowers at the door? You don’t have many friends, do you? Who would be so generous as to send so many flower baskets?” 

Romina had no interest in talking to him. “If you have nothing better to do, go pick up your child. It’s about time for school to end. Stop making the mistress do it, or people will think the mother is gone!” 

At these words, Miguel, standing at the cashier, stared with eyes wide as saucers. 

It took him a few seconds to piece together the general relationships from their brief exchange.
