Chapter 43.

Rosalind felt as if all the blood in her body was flowing in reverse.

A few years ago, in that dim hotel room, Eloise had been just like this-lying unconscious on the bed, unable to resist, her clothes torn to shreds, scraps scattered everywhere like rags…

She felt a chill all over and immediately yanked a quilt from the closet, covering Eloise tightly, wrapping her up so not a single inch of skin was exposed.

Rosalind hugged her tightly, crying as she said, “It’s okay, Eloise, I’m here. It’s okay…”

She looked almost deranged, stifling her sobs, desperately trying to wrap Eloise up tightly in the quilt.

Charlotte was already sobbing uncontrollably.”Rosalind, Rosalind…”

Rosalind was trembling all over as she asked, “Who did this to her?”

Charlotte cried, “I don’t know. As soon as they came in, they knocked Eloise out. After I made that call, they locked me on the balcony. When they brought me back, Eloise was already like this…”

“Bastards, bastards!!”

Rosalind cursed furiously.

When she had just run over from the master bedroom, the living room had been packed with dozens of bodyguards in black.

All of them were men.

Then Eloise’s clothes…

“Rosa, have you seen enough? If you have, come out. We need to talk.”

Christopher’s voice was already outside the door.

Perhaps to avoid suspicion, he stood with his back to the master bedroom, his voice cold and indifferent.

Rosalind checked Eloise again, making sure she was completely covered, then crouched down to untie Charlotte, instructing her, “Take good care of Eloise.”

She left the room, closing the guest room door behind her.

Hearing her footsteps, Christopher turned around. “Now, are you willing to come back with me?”

Rosalind was eerily calm, silent for a long time before she finally said, “I can go back with you, but I have one

condition.”

“Don’t worry. As long as you come home with me, Eloise’s photos will never be exposed.”

“Whoever took off Eloise’s clothes just now-I want his hand.”

Her gaze swept over the dozens of bodyguards, sharp as a steel blade. “Christopher, didn’t you say you’d give me anything I wanted? If you agree to this condition, I’ll go with you.”

She looked up, meeting Christopher’s eyes, her own filled with rage.

Chapter 43.

Christopher said, “What if the one who did it was me?”

Then I’ll cut off your hand myself,” Rosalind said.”I mean what I say.”

Christopher pressed his lips tightly together, staring at her coldly.”Rosa, if it weren’t for the fact that we once loved each other so much, I’d almost suspect you like women.”

“Think whatever you want.”

“Is Eloise really that important to you? Between a friend and a husband, you chose her without hesitation!”

Rosalind almost wanted to laugh. “Vernon and Eloise, one man and one woman-listening to you, I sound like some kind of pervert who swings both ways.”

“I want to be the only one in your eyes. I want to always be number one in your heart.”

“Then you shouldn’t have used Eloise to threaten me! Especially like this…”

Forcing the nightmare from years ago to repeat itself.

After that incident, Eloise fell into a long period of depression.

Mor

She attempted suicide countless times-taking sleeping pills, trying to hang herself, even nearly jumping off the oof.

She despised this ‘dirty’ version of herself.

During that time, Rosalind and Vernon were the ones who stayed by her side.

It was Vernon who told her: The ones who did wrong were those men with twisted minds, not you. You’re not lirty. You’re just a hurt, confused, and lovable girl who doesn’t know how to cope yet.

Eloise cried, sobbing her heart out on the rooftop.

She clung tightly to Rosalind, crying, “Rosa, I don’t want to be tormented by nightmares anymore.”

Rosalind patted her back and said, “If you don’t want to remember, then forget. Forget it completely. From now ›n, erase that day from your life. You just went to a party, performed, and then came back to the dorm with me ind slept until morning.”

It took Eloise three years to finally recover.

But today, everything was being dredged up again.

Christopher said, “I had a female hotel staff member help take off Eloise’s clothes. No man touched her.”

What did you drug her with?”

‘Ether. Not a large dose. She should wake up in about an hour. It won’t harm her body.”
