That time, during Ellsworth’s conversation with Johnathan, she 

had already learned the answer. 

Ellsworth thought she married into the Townsend family for money and power, which was why he had treated her so coldly for the past three years. He also thought she wasn’t worthy of 

sharing the family assets with him. 

In reality, she had never wanted any of his assets. 

It was the weekend, and there were quite a few cars on the 

road. 

About twenty minutes later, the car stopped in front of the office building. When Harriet arrived at the company, Reginald 

had already come over from the lab. 

“Mr. Barton.” Knocking on the door of Reginald’s office, Harriet 

greeted him politely. 

Reginald was on the phone. Seeing Harriet arrive, he nodded toward the sofa with his chin, signaling her to sit, and then 

poured her a cup of tea. 

While Reginald was on the phone, Harriet took the tea he

After finishing his call, Reginald looked at Harriet and said, “I 

need to go see Sir Leach. Come with me.” 

Sir Leach? 

Alvin Leach, Minister Leach? 

In Amberville, the only person Reginald would call Sir Leach was 

probably Alvin Leach. 

Even though Harriet didn’t ask, Reginald answered her, “That’s 

right, it’s Minister Leach, just as you thought. I’ll take you to 

meet him, and we can talk about other things on the way.” 

Since Reginald wanted her to come along, Harriet went with 

him. 

On the way, Reginald kept both hands on the steering wheel 

and said to Harriet in an unhurried tone, “Sir Leach is the senior 

technical advisor at Galaxy Innovations. He holds technical shares in the company, but he never accepts dividends, so I had 

legal turn them all into shares. That makes Sir Leach a 

shareholder too.” 

“Normally, except for occasionally visiting the lab or doing technical work, Sir Leach doesn’t see anyone or get involved in 

company management.” 

“A while back when you joined the company, I mentioned you to Sir Leach. He’s been wanting to meet you, so that’s why I called 

you over today.” 

After Reginald’s explanation, Harriet said, “Mr. Barton, Galaxy 

Innovations is really unfathomable.” 

With both hands on the wheel, Reginald laughed and said, “It’s 

not that serious. It’s just a group of like-minded people coming 

together.’ 

After that, as Reginald talked to Harriet about other company 

matters and the project, Harriet listened intently. 

As for the Alvin they were about to meet, he was the most 

respected figure in Amberville, having made great contributions 

to the country’s technological progress in his early years. Although he was now retired, his connections and influence 

remained strong.

Listening earnestly to Reginald talk about these things, as well 

as the technical guidance and development of guidance 

systems by Sir Leach, Harriet soon found the car entering the 

Leach mansion. 

The Leach mansion was located a bit outside the city, looking 

dignified and steady from the outside in. 

It wasn’t Reginald’s first time visiting, but the guards still asked 

some questions, registered their personal and vehicle information, and conducted a security check before letting 

them in. 

Seeing the solemnity of the Leach mansion, Harriet, who was

usual. 

Soon, the car stopped in front of a square, somewhat aged 

building. Reginald led Harriet out of the car.

them tea. 

At that moment, Alvin came down from the second floor,

looking girl who was probably also a housekeeper of the Leach 

family.

“Reginald, you’re here.” 

“Sir Leach.” Reginald stood up to greet him, and Harriet quickly

young housekeeper quietly withdrew.
