Chapter 111.

Kaitlynn suddenly paused, snorted and laughed, “Oh right, your mom ditched you a long time ago, how could she have taught you anything? No wonder you have no manners, can’t even show your face…”
Jovana’s eyes turned icy cold, her nails almost digging into her pálm. She suddenly turned around and slapped Kaitlynn right across the face!
Pop!
The slap landed, and the restaurant went so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Armando, who was on the phone not far away, heard it too and came over.
“What happened?”
Jovana was just indifferent, with no warmth in her eyes.
Armando glanced at Kaitlynn’s swollen right cheek and frowned at Jovana.
Kaitlynn was shocked. She just couldn’t believe that Jovana, who always acted all timid and tried to please her, actually dared to slap her. How could she?
The more Kaitlynn thought about it, the angrier she got. She pointed at Armando furiously, “This is the good wife you married, not only bullying Fiona, but even hitting me! Did you see that?”
Armando frowned.
Fiona sniffed and showed the red burn mark on her arm, “Mando, this little injury is nothing for me. The main thing is Mrs. Dunbar… Jovana actually hit Mrs. Dunbar, that’s just outrageous. If word got out, the Dunbar family
would be so embarrassed…”
Kaitlynn got really mad when she heard that, “You have to give me an explanation for this! And Fiona, if the Jenkins family found out she got hurt, they definitely wouldn’t let it go!”
Armando pressed his temple, looking really serious.
But Jovana could tell that Armando was struggling…
But others didn’t know–Armando knew how important her mom was to her… and still, he went and stabbed her
in the heart.
Yeah, when was he ever not like that?
He knew how proud she was, but he still took her position away and let Zachary bully her.
He knew she felt wronged, but he still let Juliette work at the company and helped her again and again.
He knew everything, but still made her feel wronged.
There was never a moment that made her feel so alone and helpless.
She threw herself into marrying him, put up with everything, but in the end she was still an outsider…
Jovana held back that choking sadness in her chest and didn’t let the tears fall.

It was too embarrassing.
“Vana.” Armando reached out to take her hand, his face serious, with a hint of reproach.
Jovana’s eyes were red. She pushed them away and looked at the people in front of her, “You want an explanation, right?”
“I explained to you!”
Jovana grabbed the bowl of clam chowder from the table and dumped it on Fiona without hesitation!
Fiona got burned and cried out in pain, yelling, “Jovana, are you crazy or what!”
“Since that’s the case, why shouldn’t I just get things done?” Jovana glanced at her, then gave Kaitlynn a cold look, “We’re all someone’s kids. Mrs. Dunbar could say something like that–your manners really made me sigh.” Kaitlynn was totally humiliated and shaking with anger. “Fine, Jovana, you really are something. Armando, now you see her true colors, right!”
“You didn’t have to use him to pressure me!” Jovana’s eyes were red, and she didn’t even dare to look at Armando’s cold, indifferent face. She could only force down the bitterness in her throat. “I’m just the kind of person who stands up for my family. I can’t stand anyone saying anything bad about them. That slap was already light. If it happens again, I’ll be even harsher!”
“You… you…” Kaitlynn’s face turned dark as ink. She was completely humiliated. She had been in the spotlight for decades–when had she ever suffered this kind of humiliation? And today, it happened twice in a row!
She raised her hand and slapped Jovana right across the face-
Jovana was caught off guard and instinctively closed her eyes and turned her head.
“Enough!” Armando blocked Kaitlynn’s hand and shoved it away hard.
Jovana froze for a moment.
The next moment, the man’s strong hands wrapped around her waist, like he gave people a sense of endless security.
“An explanation, huh? I’ll give you one.” Armando looked grim.
Kaitlynn and Fiona both froze.
Kaitlynn frowned hard and gave a cold laugh, “Armando, do you know what you’re doing? I’m your mother! You just saw her slap me!”
Jovana’s heart skipped a beat, and she didn’t know why. She instinctively grabbed the man’s shirt.
