Inside the chilled, perfectly air–conditioned office. Quinn lounged lazily in a leather swivel chair, twirling a strand of hair around her finger.
Her gaze drifted to the floor–to–ceiling window, where the blazing sun cast sharp shadows across the carpet. She licked the last bit of her popsicle, the silk jacket draped over her shoulders fluttering gently in the breeze of the central air system.

Someone tapped at the door.
Quinn tossed the popsicle stick aside without looking and walked over to open it.
There stood Mr. Wagner, crisp ́in his suit, wearing a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes. His gaze, behind his dark–rimmed glasses. landed squarely on Quinn.
“Quinn, you called me in such a hurry. What’s the matter?”
“Mr. Wagner, come take a look for me,” she purred, tugging him by the wrist into the office.
“It’s so strange… lately my computer’s been lagging like crazy. Sometimes it just shuts off on its own.”
She placed the laptop in front of him and brushed her toes ever so lightly against his pant leg. “Didn’t my dad say you were a top computer science student?”
Wagner’s Adam’s apple bobbed. His gaze clung to the shimmer of the necklace on her collarbone.
“This model’s ancient. Honestly, you should’ve replaced it a long time ago. But I can try reinstalling the system and see if it helps.”
“Great!”
Click click click…
Footsteps echoed outside.
Quinn quickly pulled her foot back and smoothed her expression.
The surveillance feed showed Elsa staggering down the hall, struggling to carry three massive boxes of documents. Her bangs were soaked in sweat, sticking to her pale face.
“So annoying”
While Quinn’s attention shifted to the door-
Wagner seized the chance, gripping the mouse and flying through the hidden folders on her computer’s D drive.
His expression grew serious as he scanned the contents. Finally, he frowned and spoke slowly.
“Quinn, your laptop’s got a virus. Looks like a Trojan. Your system’s been breached.”
“You didn’t install any antivirus software, did you?”
“I thought those programs were annoying, so I deleted them. What do I do now?” Quinn’s eyes filled with worry.
If she lost those files, what then?
Meanwhile, the livestream comments poured in, filled with praise for Quinn’s dedication.
“Quinn’s such a sweetheart she could buy a new computer, but she still uses this old one to save money for the company!

“She’s a good girl, through and through. Love her!”
And just like that-
Through Wagner’s glasses, you could see the files transferring to his flash drive.
Quinn reclined on the sofa nearby, absentmindedly admiring her nails.

But then, out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight of a pop–up in the bottom corner of the screen: “Transfer Complete.”
Quinn jumped to her feet.
“What are you doing?!” she shrieked, lunging for the mouse.
Tears welled in her eyes. “That’s Moore Corp’s proposal for next quarter!”
But Wagner didn’t look even slightly ashamed.
Instead, he stepped forward and grabbed her wrist, his warm breath brushing against her neck.
His voice coiled around her like smoke. “Funny… the surveillance just happened to go dark last week during the charity gala. right when you slipped something into Chairman Zhang’s son’s drink.”
Quinn’s pupils shrank. She looked into those dark eyes and suddenly understood.
With a flirty grin, she blew gently on Wagner’s chest. “Mr. Wagner, you’re such a tease.7
He lifted her hand and kissed it. “Only you, little wildcat, know how to drive a man crazy.”
Moments later-
“Elsa!” Quinn burst from her office, now carrying the latest designer handbag. She held her chin high, sneering at the woman hunched over her computer.
“I’m heading out for a spa. Watch my laptop for me.
Elsa looked up from her mountain of files, dark circles under her eyes. It had been days since she’d had a proper night’s sleep.
She hesitated. “But the supervisor just told me to-
“I said do it! Why are you always full of excuses?”
