Chapter 108.Â
Jovana looked at the man walking toward her, her eyes a little red.Â
If it was before, she would’ve definitely complained to him feeling wronged.Â
But now…Â
MenusÂ
Jovana sniffed, her nose stinging so much she could hardly hold it back, and in the end she turned her head away, not wanting to look anymore….Â
Armando’s hand froze in the air when he reached out to her. He saw her avoid him, and besides being surprised, he felt a sharp pain in his heart.Â
Fiona looked at the handsome man in front of her, and she just couldn’t hide the admiration in her eyes. He was supposed to be her arranged marriage husband. Jovana really got lucky back then to catch his eye.Â
“Mando, you don’t know, Ms. Atherton was just talking back to Mrs. Dunbar the whole time, so rude!” She got up and walked over, looking all innocent, and said, “Not just that, she even cursed at me, said I… said I was throwing myself at you to be your mistress! Tell me, can a person really say something like that?”Â
Fiona sniffled sadly.Â
Kaitlynn glanced at Jovana and handed things over to Armando, “The good daughter–in–law you married is really so arrogant, she doesn’t even see me, her mother–in–law, in her eyes. She talks back and has no manners at all! You deal with it yourself!”Â
“If you couldn’t even handle this small thing, I don’t think you could handle the Dunbar Group’s stuff in the futureÂ
either!”Â
Kaitlynn was obviously using threats and bribes.Â
Fiona smiled. How important power was to a man was obvious. Armando had to compromise, whether he wantedÂ
to or not.Â
She wanted to see what a mess Jovana would be when she got whipped, so she could learn her lesson. She wanted to see if Jovana would still dare talk to her like that next time!Â
Armando’s face darkened.Â
Jovana sneered to herself. Rebel against the heavens, wasn’t that talking about them?Â
She turned her head to look at her silent husband, and her heart grew even colder.Â
Yeah, Armando was always after fame and profit. Last time when she was bullied by Zachary, he didn’t care about her at all because he wanted the Crosier family’s fame and fortune.Â
How could she still expect him to stand up for her this time?Â
Jovana bit her inner lip with a pale face, totally hating the fantasy that popped up in her mind at that moment.Â
She took a deep breath, “Mrs. Dunbar-”Â
Before I could finish, I was cut off by Armando’s cold voice.Â

“I knew my wife’s character very well. If she talked back to you, it must have been because you said something rude- first and she just couldn’t stand it.”Â
Armando’s eyes were cold. He looked at Fiona again, “Ms. Jenkins, this was the Dunbar’s mansion. Whatever happened here, it wasn’t your place as an outsider to interfere.”Â
To put it simply, I just called her a shit–stirrer.Â
Fiona looked pale. Because Armando was so intimidating, she couldn’t say a word. She was biting her inner lip so hard it was about to bleed.Â
“Armando!” Kaitlynn scolded.Â
Armando ignored it and walked over to Jovana, gently asking her if she had been bullied.Â
Jovana was stunned for a moment. After she realized what was going on, she shook her head, then nodded. Armando’s face turned cold. He glanced at Kaitlynn and Fiona, and the invisible pressure was suffocating.Â
“Apologized.”Â
“What did you say?”Â
Kaitlynn frowned, she just couldn’t believe her ears, Armando actually told her to apologize to Jovana, that bitch, in front of everyone? How was that any different from slapping her in the face in public?Â
Fiona also felt totally humiliated… She had been rich for over twenty years, and Jovana was nothing, not even good enough to carry her shoes!Â
“Sorry, I don’t want to repeat it a third time.” Armando gently held Jovana’s hand, but his words were icy cold, “It’s the family dinner today, I guess no one wants to make things too awkward, right?”Â
He looked coldly at Kaitlynn.Â
At that moment, Kaitlynn felt like she couldn’t even breathe and gripped the tissue tightly in her hand.Â
How could she not hear the threat in Armando’s words-Â
IfÂ
youÂ
didn’t apologize to Jovana today, you wouldn’t have a good time! Kaitlynn was fuming inside, but things were out of her control now.Â
“Looks like the family dinner’s gonna be delayed?” Armando half–smiled.Â
Kaitlynn was grinding her white teeth, staring at Jovana, holding back her humiliation. The words almost squeezed out from between her teeth, “Sorry, it was my fault. Don’t take it to heart. I’m apologizing to
