Most of them knew Harper. They were all daughters of rich families. A few of them used to call her Sister Harper, but now, they were all here to laugh at her. 

Sophia grabbed her hair fiercely. “You still have the cheek to seduce Mason in this state. You’re really shameless, you b*tch.” 

“…I didn’t.“It was too cold. 

Harper could not help but shiver and beg her to let go. 

Isabella walked out of the crowd and stood arrogantly beside the bathtub. Suddenly, he pressed the back of Harper’s head and pressed her into a pool of ice–soaked water. “You didn’t. You went to Mason’s house every day and still dare to say that you didn’t. How despicable!” 

“…Are you rushing to sleep with Mason?” 

“Even if he did sleep with you, he would only use you as a bed warmer.” 

“It’s been so many years, but your habit of throwing yourself at me hasn’t changed. You’re still as shameless as be- fore. “His skin was hit by ice, his ears were filled with water, and his brain was dizzy, as if he was not far from death. 

She flailed and struggled. She wanted to call for help, but she choked on a mouthful of water. Her tears fell into the water and immediately disappeared. Could anyone still see her cry? 

Those people were mocking her, laughing at her comicalness and desolation. No one would feel sorry for her. 

His arm was lifted and thrown out onto the tiles. His clothes were wet and stuck to his body. Sophia laughed loudly at the side as he encouraged those people to take out their phones to record. 

Isabella half–squatted beside Harper and wiped her face with a dry towel. Sophia lifted her chin and wrote on her face with a marker pen, stroke by stroke, like a knife. Resistance would only make her suffer more. 

It was done–the word “slut” was left on her face. Sophia covered her mouth and sneered. “Hurry up and film. It’s so in- teresting. Remember to send it to me after filming. Let the others see it too.” 

Laughter, mockery, and the flashing lights were about to hit his face. 

But no one came to save her. 

She was locked in the dark bathroom. She did not eat or drink. The temperature was extremely low. After an un- known period of time, she was about to freeze to death. She was pulled away and washed under the showerhead. Sophia rushed up to step on her knees and hit her face with the showerhead. 

It was unknown how long this torture lasted before it ended.

The next day, there were new tricks. Harper wanted to escape, but her entire body was injured and her knees were fractured. She could not even stand up. There was a piece of bread on the table. She moved her legs and walked over. She opened the packaging and hurriedly stuffed it into her mouth. Before she could take a bite, Isabella rushed over from nowhere and knocked down the bread. 

She stepped on it and did not even give Harper a bite of food. She lay on the ground with a high fever and a rumbling stomach. Her soul seemed to have risen into the air. 

“Back then, you were the one who gave me things. You were in the limelight and I was the green leaf standing beside you. Why was I born to be your foil?” She gritted her teeth and expressed her dissatisfaction and hatred for so many years. “But fortunately, you’re not the Walker family person anymore. No one is supporting you anymore. Is it your turn to ask me for food?” 

Isabella stepped on Harper’s face. “How about this? If you lick my shoes clean, I’ll give you something to eat. How about that?”

It was clearly Isabella who wanted it, so she gave it to him. How did it become charity?Her shoes rubbed against her face, but she could barely feel the pain.

The person lying in the pool of blood was thin and emaciated. His clothes had been wet and dried countless times. Fresh scars appeared on his skin. There were footprints, burn marks, and traces of frostbite on his face. 

Harper’s eyelashes were glued to his eyelids. His eyes were half–open, and his fingertips were trembling weakly. He half–squatted in front of her and helped her into his arms, leaning close to her ear.
