Chapter89
He knew her temperament; confronting her head-on would only anger her.
She was now Ms. Schroeder-she could pay any amount.
Taking a deep breath, Fulbert took the initiative to lower his head.
“Sorry, I was too impulsive just now. I didn’t think it through. Don’t take it to heart. Since I’ve chosen to work with you, I won’t change my mind easily.”
She stared at his sharply defined face, his usually raised brows now lowered.
Sandria frowned. Was she seeing things?
Did she just see grievance on Fulbert’s face?
And his words just now-was he yielding, trying to appease her?
Sandria found it odd. Given Fulbert’s status, he had no reason to humble himself before her.
Why was that?
Sandria was puzzled and wanted to test his intentions, but Fulbert had already let go of her hand and turned to close the door in front of her.
The situation seemed a bit strange.
But Sandria had no time to worry about him now.
After showering and doing her skincare routine, Sandria lay on her bed, staring at the ceiling, feeling restless.
After much thought, she called Lynette.
When Lynette heard about it, she exploded.
“What? That scumbag Florentino is so shameless? He threatened you with private photos before, and now he’s using this despicable contract to force you to get back together? How dare he?”
Sandria narrowed her eyes slightly. “Yeah, how dare he? I thought he was just joking back then. Who knew he kept that contract for so many years.”
The boomerang from back then had come back to hit her.
It was both laughable and pathetic.
“Sandy, don’t panic. Whatever you do, don’t let that jerk threaten you. I think the only reason he wants to get back to- gether is because of the Schroeder family behind you, not because he truly cares about you.”

Florentino’s intentions were as clear as day.
“Don’t worry just yet. Maybe there’s a way to solve this?”
The two of them discussed for a long time, but couldn’t come up with any good solution.
Since Florentino was able to produce that contract, it proved he had come prepared.
Even if they managed to steal the contract in secret, there was no guarantee he didn’t have a backup. If they angered him, things would only get worse.
“I’m so furious! Florentino is such a shameless man. Sooner or later, he’ll get what he deserves!”
The next day.
Just as Sandria had arranged to meet Lynette, an unfamiliar call came in.
“Sandy, I want to take you somewhere-a place I’ve never been able to take you before.”
“Sorry, I have something to do today. Maybe another time.”
“What could be more important than me?”
Florentino made no effort to hide his intentions. “The contract is in my hands. I can make it public at any time.”
Sandria’s fingertips turned white as she gripped her phone. She gritted her teeth and asked, “Where?”
“Come downstairs. I’m waiting outside your building.”
Sandria had no choice but to tidy herself up and head downstairs.
A flashy red Ferrari was parked at the entrance of the complex.
Florentino, dressed in a casual suit, stood by the car. Hearing footsteps, he stubbed out his cigarette and personally opened the car door for her.
In the past, Sandria would have been touched by such gestures.
Now, all she felt was discomfort.
The red Ferrari sped down the road for over an hour before stopping at a beach. Looking around, Sandria saw couples sitting sweetly together on lounge chairs.
The Sea of Love.
This was the place Sandria had always wanted to visit with Florentino when they first started dating.
Legend had it that couples who watched the Sea of Love together would stay together forever.
But in eight years of dating, Florentino had never once accompanied her here.
The place they went on dates most often was just a hotel.
