“Dr. Parrish, hurry! 

“That woman is having an emergency again!” 

There was a large stain of blood on her chest, which took me by surprise. 

“Her heart is racing, and she just vomited blood.”

I rushed to the computer searching for Tania’s medical records before the operation. 

But there was nothing in the database.

I suddenly realized something. Since they were having wild sex, they must have used pills too. 

That could be the reason for her renal failure. 

So, I quickly called an expert from the labs. 

“Get her a blood test now and give me the test result ASAP.” 

She was pushed into the OR again. When I was about to enter the room, Antonio stood by the door and stopped me. 

Without hesitation, he slapped me. 

“You’re such a useless doctor. I knew you couldn’t handle it. Go get the best doctor here, now!” 

The muscles on his face twitched with rage. His eyes shot out a fierce glare. 

Other medical staff were trying to stop him and stood in front of me. 

But Antonio was still not over with it. He kept cursing, “If anything happens to her, all of you will be in trouble! Es- pecially you! I’ll make you pay!” 

Other doctors’ faces were darkened and they couldn’t believe that the man would say such vicious words. 

The man before me was nothing but a madman, and I could not believe that he was the refined man I had known be- 

fore. 

Till this moment, I realized that I never knew his true color.

“What’s the matter with you? She’s only a doctor, not God! No doctor can guarantee to save every patient. Plus, why don’t you bring her to Grandview Hospital since her condition is so serious?” 

“That’s right. You seem to be such a big shot. Why don’t you take her to Grandview Hospital directly?” 

People around me started to talk and defend me. 

However, Antonio couldn’t explain that. He wouldn’t go to Grandview Hospital because I worked there. 

Soon, Tania’s blood test report came. I took a glance at it and immediately knew what was going on with her. 

All the indicators pointed to one cause of her dangerous condition. 

Tania must have overdosed on pleasure-boosting pills. 

No wonder her heart was racing. 

What was more outrageous was that Tania was actually pregnant! 

It was only an early pregnancy, so they hadn’t found out about it yet. 

I didn’t have the time to wonder who the dad was. 

I raised the report in my hand and shouted at Antonio. 

“She’s pregnant, and you let her take those pills? What kind of monster are you?

Antonio’s face was pale and he was mumbling something, “The guy in the drug store said it was OK for…” 

I was about to refute, but I didn’t expect Tania to shout from behind my back. 

“I wanted those pills. It’s between me and him and it’s none of your business. 

“A woman like you will never experience the fun I had!” 

She wanted to continue, but she was too weak to shout anymore. 

As her body suffered from a spasm, she passed out. 

It was a critical moment and her life was in danger. 

I quickly assigned each doctor to their respective tasks, and we entered the operation room together. 

At that moment, someone pulled my arm. 

It was Antonio, and he held a bank card in his other hand. 

“You know what? I get it. You just want money, right? 

“There’s 15 thousand dollars in it. If you can save her, I’ll pay you more afterward.”
