Jovana pinched the flesh of her palm hard and pulled her thoughts back. She didn’t want to make things hard for Normand, so she said quietly, “Just leave it there, you can go out…” 

But Normand just stood there and wouldn’t leave. 

Jovana looked up,”Anything else?” 

Normand hesitated, “Mr. Dunbar said, after he saw you eat, I could leave…” 

Jovana frowned a little and didn’t appreciate Armando’s way of forcing people at all. 

But in the end, she didn’t make things hard for Normand, opened the takeout box, and sure enough, there were the croissants and orange juice she liked, plus a few light side dishes.

No one expected that woman to fall into a coma. After Mr. Dunbar heard the news last night, he mmediately arranged for her to be transferred for observation and sent experts from the UK to help.” 

ovana paused. Did that woman really not wake up? 

Normand said, “Last night Mr. Dunbar called me in the middle of the night and asked security to open the company door for him. He spent the whole night at the office looking for his bracelet…” 

Came to the company looking for a bracelet? 

Didn’t Armando go keep Juliette company last night? 

Really… Jovana kept a straight face, but her hand holding the fork tightened. She struggled to pick up a pork turnover and bit into

The food I used to love tasted like wax to me now.

Jovana mayed quiet, not sure if she was listening or not, just poked at the pork turnovers in the box with her fork

Jovana quickly covered her mouth, got up and rushed into the bathroom. She threw up like crazy, puking out everything she just ate, and in the end, even bile came out. 

I didn’t know how much time had passed. 

She rinsed her mouth, looked up at her tired face in the mirror, and gave a wry smile.

The things Armando bought, just like him, hurt her body and hurt her heart.

After Jovana finished reading, she found the draft and started editing it right away, totally focused on her work and not letting herself think about anything else…
