Chapter 55. 

This was the last time. 

Evan was sent to the police station and held for a week. Most of the people there were just street thugs, so he really had a tough time. 

After finishing the statement, Jovana went straight back to the company. 

What a coincidence, I just happened to run into Zachary downstairs. 

When Zachary saw Jovana, he was stunned for a moment, “Ms…”

Jovana slapped him hard. 

Zachary got hit out of nowhere, and his old face turned so dark it looked like you could wring water out 

of it. 

He was always flattered by others. When had he ever suffered such humiliation? And it was a woman who hit and scolded him. 

He stared with wide eyes and said in a low voice, “Jovana! Are you crazy? This is outside the company!” 

Jovana sneered, “So you were actually afraid of being seen? I thought you had no shame at all, like some kind of animal. You’re rotten to the core!” 

Zachary got red in the face and neck from being talked about. 

Since things were out in the open, he just stopped pretending, spat on the ground, and said through gritted teeth, “I think you’ve been sitting in the Marketing Department manager’s seat for too long and gotten too full of yourself!” 

“Look at you, your family had no power or influence. If it weren’t for Armando, could you have made it this far? Trading you for the Deross Group’s project was already giving you enough face!” 

“You could do it, but if you couldn’t, there were plenty of people who could take your place. Don’t push your luck!” 

Zachary snorted and left with a flick of his sleeve. 

Acted fearlessly because of having backing. 

The bodyguard blocked Jovana and warned coldly, “Ms. Atherton, if you go too far again, don’t blame us for being rude.” 

Jovana was all alone, how could she stand a chance against a few strong guys? 

So angry my shoulders were shaking, I could only watch Zachary get in the car and leave. 

She took a deep breath, pulled out her phone, and called Armando.

Armando squinted at her, his eyes filled with desire. 

This fairy really was deadly charming. He had wanted to keep his distance from her, but she stuck to him like candy, making him miss her. 

“Mando, I promised to behave this time, I wouldn’t cause any more trouble, about the contract, I’d listen to you too, please don’t kick me out…” 

Juliette said, feeling wronged. 

Armando patted her head and was silent for a moment. 

Was just about to say something. 

The phone on the table buzzed. 

It was Jovana. 

In an instant, Armando felt guilty. 

He reminded Juliette not to make a sound and answered the phone. 

“Vana?” 

“Armando, you were in the office now, right? I had something to talk to you about.” 

Jovana’s voice was a bit hoarse. 

As soon as he finished speaking, the office door was suddenly pushed open. 

Jovana pushed the door open and had a vague feeling that something was off in the office. 

She frowned a little, looked around, and finally fixed her eyes somewhere. Her expression froze… 

Armando got up from his office chair without changing his expression. 

The moment the door was pushed open just now, Juliette hid under the desk. He didn’t expect Jovana to come straight up. Looks like he couldn’t let Juliette come again in the future. 

Armando walked up to Jovana, stood in front of her and blocked her view. He asked softly, “What’s 

wrong? Why are you in such a hurry?” 

Jovana’s eyes trembled a little, and she clearly smelled that faint scent of cologne on him.

Jovana pinched her palm, felt really uncomfortable, stepped back, frowned, and said, “Did Juliette come by today?”

“Don’t talk about people who don’t matter. What’s wrong with you? You didn’t look so good. Weren’t you talking about the project with Mr. Crosier?”
